I consider myself a White Sox fanatic so I want to give every WS podcast a chance and listen, but I literally couldn’t get past the first 5 minutes of their latest episode Tony La Russa in Left Field. Let me preface by saying I’ve never written a review here, so it takes a big impression on me to muster up time and effort to write a review.
The hosts seem unlikeable - awkward uninteresting banter, long pauses, and cringeworthy flow. IPA talk? (Awesome! I don’t drink), “titty muscle” referring to Eloy’s injury (ummm?), taking shots at La Russa cause of his age (that’s old). You’re trying too hard. Podcasting isn’t difficult - either inform, excite or entertain us. If you can’t do any of those, what’s the point here?
To all my fellow WS fans, there’s about a dozen other podcasts that do a much better job with the aforementioned criteria. As for this specific podcast - I suppose you can ONLY go up from here. Just not with me on board. 2 stars for effort.
