The Subconscious Expert: Mindset, Identity Work & Embodied Leadership for Ambitious Women

Rebecca Haydon, Mindset Coach & NLP Trainer

The Subconscious Expert is a podcast about the subconscious mind, identity and self leadership for powerfully ambitious women who know what they want next and are ready to become the version of themselves who can actually hold it. You’re doing well, your business works, you’re smart, driven and you already know a lot and yet, behind the scenes, you can feel that something about the way you’ve been operating doesn’t quite fit anymore. Maybe consistency still feels harder than it should, maybe success feels heavier as things grow, maybe you lead everyone else powerfully, but struggle to lead yourself with the same clarity and self trust or maybe you can feel a bigger level calling you, and you want to meet it without burning out, overthinking, or losing yourself in the process. This podcast is for that moment. I’m your host, Rebecca Haydon NLP Trainer and Subconscious Business Mentor. I work with the subconscious side of business growth, identity, and leadership. I work with women building businesses at different stages and the patterns underneath are rarely as different as you’d expect. What’s happening at a subconscious level is what we work with here. Each week on The Subconscious Expert, we unpack subconscious patterns, identity shifts, and self-leadership skills that shape how you: • lead yourself • make decisions • handle responsibility and visibility • hold more success • sustain the level you’re stepping into These episodes are grounded, practical conversations rooted in NLP, subconscious work and leadership, supporting you to trust yourself more, feel clearer about what to do, and lead in a way that actually feels solid to live inside. This is the kind of work that shortens the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it, the kind that changes how you show up day to day and the kind that lets your next level feel like something you can stand in. If you’re ready to build a life and business that matches who you’re becoming, you’re in the right place. New episodes weekly. 303. Why You've Started Talking Yourself Out of Your Business Goals

Sign up to 2027...loading - The FREE masterclass where I'm taking you behind the scenes of how I'm preparing for my biggest year yet, sharing the subconscious strategies I've spent seven years using myself and teaching to hundreds of entrepreneurs to help them turn their biggest business ambitions into reality. When did you become so realistic about the things you used to dream about? Because I bet when you first started your business, you had some outrageous ambitions. The £20k months, the speaking opportunities, the book deal, the financial freedom, the business that everyone in your industry knew about. And you used to get so excited thinking about what was possible. But somewhere between the launches that didn't go to plan, the goals you didn't quite hit and the things that took longer than you expected, you might have started talking yourself out of what you actually want. You probably have more experience, knowledge and evidence of your capabilities now than you've ever had before. So why have your ambitions started getting smaller? In this episode of The Subconscious Expert, we're getting into the subconscious beliefs and expectations that influence your relationship with goals, how previous disappointments can affect the decisions you're making in your business, and why you might be unknowingly protecting yourself from wanting the very things you're working towards. We'll also explore where your relationship with goal setting originally came from, whether the goals you're pursuing are genuinely yours, and how to start experiencing more of what you actually want while you're working towards achieving it. Because I don't particularly fancy you spending the next five years gradually talking yourself out of the things you started your business to experience. And if you've got some rather outrageous ambitions for 2027, I've got something for you! On Thursday 22 October at 11am UK, I'm hosting my completely free masterclass, 2027, Loading... I'm taking you behind the scenes of my own subconscious planning process, showing you how I'm working through my beliefs, expectations and identity, and helping you apply that work to your own goals so you can start preparing for the business and life you want to create. Topics covered on why you've started talking yourself out of your dreams:Why experienced business owners can become less ambitious despite having more evidence of their capabilities. How your early experiences influence your subconscious beliefs about wanting things and setting goals. Why missed business goals can turn into limiting beliefs and expectations about future success. How your subconscious can influence self sabotaging behaviours and decisions in your business. Why being realistic or going with the flow can sometimes be a way of avoiding disappointment. How to recognise whether your goals are genuinely yours or influenced by other people's expectations. Why understanding what you actually want your goals to give you is so important. How to stop postponing freedom, confidence and success until you've achieved a particular milestone. How to change your relationship with goal setting through new beliefs, behaviours and experiences.

    300. Why I’m Changing My Content Strategy After 7 Years in Business

I haven’t really been posting lately and, if you know me, you’ll know just how unlike me that is. Consistency has been a huge part of how I’ve built my business over the last six years, so this period has brought up a lot for me, from questioning why I suddenly didn’t want to create, to looking at the beliefs and identity wrapped up in being someone who has always been known for showing up. And the more I’ve sat with it, the more I’ve realised just how much I don’t want to go back to creating content in the way I was before. In this episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes of what I’ve actually been navigating, my growing frustration with how strategic content has become, and why I think somewhere along the way we’ve stripped so much of the human out of building a personal brand. I’m also sharing what’s been happening for me subconsciously as I move away from something that has worked incredibly well for six years, why that has been much harder than I expected, and what I want this next chapter of Rebecca Haydon and The Subconscious Institute to look like. There’s no shiny new seven step content strategy at the end of this one, I’m figuring it out, changing things, experimenting and letting you come behind the scenes while I do. This is very much my stake in the ground for what comes next. Topics covered on changing my content strategy:Why I haven’t been creating content consistently recentlyHow being known for consistency became wrapped up in my identityWhy I think content strategy has become so strategic that we’re losing the human behind the brandThe pressure to make every post have a hook, purpose, CTA and perfectly engineered angleWhy I don’t want to keep creating content a certain way simply because I know it worksWhat has been happening subconsciously as I’ve started changing something I’ve done for six yearsGiving myself space to decide what I actually want my personal brand to becomeBringing more of my life, thoughts, businesses, motherhood, opinions and behind the scenes into my contentMy bigger vision for bringing NLP, Hypnosis and subconscious work into more conversations, industries and roomsWhy I’m letting you watch me figure out what comes next rather than waiting until I have it perfectly worked out Connect with Rebecca Haydon:Apply to work with meCome say hi on Instagram | YouTube | Website

    299. Why Success Sells and the Subconscious Psychology Behind It

Success sells, someone grows by 100,000 followers, has a £500k launch, sells out an event or builds a seven figure business and naturally, we want to know how they did it. But what aren’t we seeing? In this episode of The Subconscious Expert, I’m exploring the subconscious psychology behind success and the part of someone’s results that can’t be packaged neatly into a strategy, framework or five step method. Because when somebody tells you what they did to become successful, you’re seeing the behaviour and the result. You’re not necessarily seeing the beliefs they grew up with, what was already normal to them, their relationship with money, visibility and risk, the experiences that shaped them, what they value or the filters through which they experience their business. And all of that came with them when they executed the strategy they’re now teaching you. We’re getting into why success itself creates authority, why somebody else’s results can make their advice feel more credible, and why two entrepreneurs can follow exactly the same strategy and have completely different experiences doing it. The point of this episode is to look beyond the success itself, get more discerning about what those results actually tell you, and understand more about the human being behind the business strategy. Topics covered on The Subconscious Psychology of Success:Why success is such powerful marketing and why we naturally pay attention to people who have created results we wantThe part of someone’s success you can’t see from their revenue, followers, launches or sold out eventsHow subconscious beliefs, values, memories, experiences and filters influence the way somebody executes a business strategyWhy somebody’s upbringing and relationship with money, visibility, risk, failure and success can matter to the results they createHow two entrepreneurs can follow the same advice and have completely different internal experiences of doing itWhy successful people may not consciously recognise everything that contributed to their own successThe danger of assuming “this worked for me” automatically means “this will work for you”Why being successful at something and being skilled at helping somebody else do it are different skill setsHow visible success can subconsciously create authority and influence who we choose to learn fromWhat to look for beyond somebody’s success when choosing a coach, mentor, programme or strategyWhy understanding what happens inside YOU when you implement a strategy can be more useful than continually searching for another one LinksConnect with Rebecca Haydon:Apply to work with meCome say hi on Instagram | YouTube | Website Related episodes you may enjoy:295. 298. Are You Building an Aligned Business or Someone Else's Version of Success? | Identity Work

Do you feel like you have been following someone else's advice for so long that your business no longer feels like your own? I'm seeing this happen so often right now among women entrepreneurs, and it's time we talked about it! You join someone's mastermind or coaching container because you want what they have. You learn their strategy, how they run their business, how they show up... and it works great. But somewhere along the way, you realise the version of you that created those results doesn't actually feel like you any more, and isn't aligned with your values. That's what I'm talking about today: the identity work behind building an aligned business, the difference between identity expansion vs imitating someone else's, and how to create your own version of success. Topics covered on Identity Work:What's the difference between identity expansion and identity imitation? How do you end up losing yourself when following someone else's version of success? What happens when a strategy works but feels completely wrong? How do your values shape the way you sell, lead, and show up in your business? What does real identity work look like, and where did the identity you're building actually come from?
