OYM Ep. 87: Part 2 -Save Land Lines! Why Landline Phones are Safer and Better with Josh Hart of SaveLandlines.org

This is Part Two of our enlightening interview with Josh of SaveLandLines.org. Many of us have smartphones and enjoy the convenience. Unfortunately, smartphones have a dark side... We must face the ugly truth: most of us are addicted! Are we in control of that phone, or is that phone controlling us? Points to consider: --Regular exposure to harmful radiation given off by cell phones causes cancer. Many people do not know this, but the truth has been out there for many years. Because of our phone addiction, many of us don't want to hear this, but we'd better wake up before it is too late. Cell phone manufacturers and the tech industry have a lot of money and can afford to market their products while stereotyping those of us who raise concerns as "conspiracy theorists." --Cell phones emit radiation, have been linked with tumor growth and some cancers: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7663653/ https://news.berkeley.edu/2021/07/01/health-risks-of-cell-phone-radiation/ --Smartphones can be tracked, monitored, controlled and intercepted at any time. Anything digital can be controlled remotely. Don't think you have privacy if you are walking around with a smartphone. --Cell phones pose serious privacy risks. Whistleblowers such as Edward Snowden have warned of the surveillance capabilities of smartphones. --Smartphones are making us stupid! More and more adults and children are attached to these devices and relying on them to think for them. Neuroplasticity is a real phenomenon in psychology. Our brains change as we use (or do not use) them. As more people become dependent upon (some would say "addicted to") smartphones, many people are losing their ability to focus, think deeply and navigate the world. Some research suggests regular smartphone and social media use are diminishing creativity and mental health, particularly in young people who are unaware that alternatives to this technology exist: https://www.businessinsider.com/smartphones-gen-z-creativity-attention-jonathan-haidt-anxious-generation-careers-2025-1?op=1 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35907700/ https://www.cam.ac.uk/research/news/cambridge-leads-governmental-project-to-understand-impact-of-smartphones-and-social-media-on-young --Landline phones are more reliable during power outages, aren't addictive, don't emit harmful radiation, and conversations cannot as easily be controlled. --People with cognitive disabilities and often the elderly have difficulties utilizing the many functions of smartphones and are excluded from fully participating in society when smartphones are required. --Some people are especially sensitive to EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) and find that they cannot use cell phones on a regular basis. Knowing all of this, we can only wonder... Why are smartphones being forced upon us? In many cities, one must use a smartphone and scan a QR code in order to park a vehicle or to obtain information. Wait, isn't that a form of discrimination? What happened to diversity, equity and inclusion? Smartphones were fun when they were optional, but now that they're being forced upon us, it's just not fun anymore. In fact, it's getting way scary. We must push back, people! Throw out your smartphones! Refuse to scan QR codes! BTW, if you live in WNY, Spectrum offers a "home" phone. It's a VOIP phone, not technically a traditional landline, but it does offer an alternative to smartphones for those who don't want to be exposed to the radiation or the harmful cognitive decline associated with regular smartphone use. Wherever you are, PLEASE do put pressure on your local politicians to require telecom companies to provide landlines to those who request them. OYM Ep. 86: Save the Land Lines! Why LandLine Phones are Safer and Better with Josh Hart of SavetheLandlines.org

Josh Hart of SaveLandLines.org joins us for a discussion on landlines, why they are safer and more reliable and why we need to protect our right to access them. If you live in California, you can support this cause by attending one of the hearings taking place on the telecommunications industry's efforts to eliminate landlines. The second round of Public Utilities Commission Public Participation Hearings are taking place April 30th at SantaRosa City Council Chambers at 2 PM or 6 PM. Remote hearings are being held on April 17, May 5, or May 13. Go to www.SaveLandLines.org for more information. OYM Ep.85: Holiday Season is the time to be kind (even though we always should be)

Greetings! This episode was recorded just a few days before Christmas 2024, but most likely, you won't hear it until next year--2025! Since it's the holiday season, my thoughts wander in the direction of kindness, yes kindness! Most Americans suffer greatly from the lack of a strong, supportive community. A large percentage of Americans are taking antidepressants, anti-anxiety agents, and are reporting that they feel lonely and isolated. Some psychologists say that we're experiencing an "epidemic" of loneliness in the USA. This was true long before enforced lockdowns and fear mongering that took place in 2020 and that further isolated and marginalized some people. With an increase in technology addiction and many Americans being unable to wean themselves off of their "smart" phones and off of social media, I fear that this loneliness epidemic will increase and spread. However, one way we can feel less lonely, less depressed, to make a positive change in our environment, to hold onto our humanity, and to start thinking critically again is to connect with other people. Can we do it? I know I harp on this a lot, but it is very important. Many people hide behind an n95 mask, not because they're afraid of catching a nasty cold or flu but because they're afraid of the world! Yep, they're hiding their faces from the big, bad scary world--hiding their faces from you and me! Connecting with other people, letting them see our kind and friendly faces, is one way to help break the spell, to free the mask addicts (and ourselves) from the oppression of social isolation. Some other people claim to be "rugged individualists." They claim that being alone is freeing, empowering. But is it? Fact is, most people will conform under pressure when they feel outnumbered. It's easier to stand up for what we believe in when we know we have a team of people watching our backs. Ironically, it is easier to be a unique individual and feel self-confident when we have a support system and feel connected to others. Loneliness is a psychic killer. We want to hold onto our individuality but we also crave to belong. If you're alone during the holidays or missing a loved one, take heart. You aren't the only one. Why not reach out to others who feel alone? Practice random acts of kindness? We all influence each other, so your acts of kindness will spread. Wouldn't it be amazing if instead of a loneliness epidemic, we all created a kindness epidemic instead? Just a thought... OYM Ep. 84: Student Loan Scam Pt.2 of Interview with Presidential Candidate Alan Collinge

This is part 2 of this enlightening interview with Alan Collinge of StudentLoanJustice.org. This grassroots organization has been tirelessly advocating for working class people's rights to attend college without accumulating massive debt. StudentLoanJustice.org needs your support, by the way, so please donate if you can! www.StudentLoanJustice.org Facts to consider while listening to this episode: -- Student loans are THE ONLY DEBT THAT CANNOT BE WRITTEN OFF IN BANKRUPTCY! -- Let me repeat that: While millionaires and billionaires may declare bankruptcy so that they don't need to pay their debts (that result from poor business decisions) and gamblers may declare bankruptcy (to cover the cost of their debts due to gambling), student loan debtors cannot declare bankruptcy in the majority of cases. This is even true if a student loan debtor is low income, disabled or homeless. Bankruptcy protections were removed for student loan debt and only that debt. Why? Is our govt targeting intelligent people? Nah, our gov wouldn't do that... -- Donald Trump has declared bankruptcy several times. Are you okay with that? Then why are you okay with student loan debtors not being allowed to declare bankruptcy when everyone else can? -- Student loans are a form of financial aid offered to low-income students. They are supposed to be a form of assistance, not a hindrance, to help students from poor or middle class families to afford the very high cost of college tuition. -- Students fill out cumbersome and lengthy paperwork to prove they are low-income and cannot afford college tuition in order to qualify for financial aid. -- Why are loans offered to students who've proven they are low-income, and why would anyone expect that low-income people would be able to pay off this debt? -- Students hailing from poor or working class families end up paying more money to go to college than millionaires and billionaires because they must pay the loan amount plus interest and fees. Should poor people pay more money to go to college than wealthy people? -- Increasingly, many jobs require either college education or trade school training, licensing and certification. This has created a big business opportunity for schools (that are now run like businesses rather than places offering an education). It is necessary for most living-wage jobs that a formal education is obtained, and it is very expensive. Since tuition costs are so high, grants and scholarships typically do not cover all college costs so most students are required to take out loans. -- The Democrats are largely responsible for the student loan crisis. This includes Bill Clinton and Joe Biden. -- For many professions, students must pay tuition for the required "opportunity" to work as interns. Yep, this is worse than slavery. At least slaves don't pay to work and usually are given free room and board. Not only are these students not being paid, are working for free, but they're also paying tuition for it! Why are people not upset about this! -- The corporate media is lying to you, distracting you with propaganda. Ah, but you knew that already. They don't want you to ask these questions: Why is a college degree/trade school training necessary for so many occupations? What happened to on-the-job training? Why is education so outrageously expensive while it is also becoming a requirement? Why would anyone offer a loan to someone they know doesn't have much money and expect them to pay it back with interest? Is this a set up? Does the govt/big banks/big business want students to be saddled with debt so that they're enslaved by financial worries and can't get politically active? Why are so many students required to work for free as interns AND to pay tuition for that? How does that help people to get ahead in the world when they are paying to work then graduating with debt? https://meriacairns.substack.com/ https://guitarmoviestar.medium.com/ https://bit.ly/ReadMyShorts

OYM Ep.81 Quarantine Camps in NYS? Sen. Borello and Attorney Cox fights Kathy Hochul's Frightening Law

On Sept. 13, 2023, NY Senator George M. Borello and Attorney Bobbie Anne Cox courageously argued against New York Governor Kathy Hochul's appeal to uphold a law that would enable the governor to FORCIBLY remove NY residents from their homes and have them thrown into "quarantine" camps. Parents and children could be separated indefinitely. Hochul wouldn't need to prove anyone was sick but could just have people sent to camps whenever she felt like it... Two years ago, Episodes 60 and 61, we'd reported on the CDC's "green zones," areas being built by the CDC where people could be kept under "quarantine." The CDC's PDF has, apparently, been removed from the CDC's website. However, the document was available on cdc.gov, and we read through the entire document on that podcast back in 2021. The CDC camps were based on refugee camps, like many that currently exist around the world. Refugees are people who are displaced due to political turmoil, and they are made homeless and stripped of their citizenship permanently. I don't think we want this to happen here in the United States. Speak up, people! You must speak now! Stop trusting authority figures and celebrities. Start trusting in people you know intimately--your spouse, sister/brother/best friend/parent/child, etc. Let's stop giving power to these celebrities who talk to us through screens. Leave us a comment and/or watch the video of the interviews here: https://www.bitchute.com/occupyyourmind/ #camps #quarantine #NY

OYM Ep.80 So What's Happening in Maui?

Back in 2005, a hurricane caused a lot of damage in New Orleans. It was speculated that some politicians knew the levees might break during the hurricane but they did nothing to repair or improve the infrastructure so that the region would be prepared for the next hurricane. While affluent people were able to flee the area, many people--mostly poor and people of color--were stranded at the disaster site where food and clean water was now scarce. Reports indicated that when some people tried to donate water or other supplies, they were turned away. The Red Cross turned away perspective volunteers, saying they already had enough despite the great need. Similar sketchy reports are coming from Maui where roads have been closed off to traffic, preventing not only those who want to help or donate enter the site, but also preventing journalists from arriving to report on what is really going on there. What is really going on there? Are areas being targeted for being turned into "smart cities" going to experience natural disasters so that the WEF and Fiends can buy up their land and "build back better"? Are these "natural" disasters just another way to get people accustomed to living in shelters? To losing their homes and be forced to share space with others? Will we all find ourselves living like refugees, on camps, at some point in the near future? Many people around the world live on refugee camps. They are trapped in a permanent state of homelessness. Do we want this for ourselves? Do we want this for anyone? Why do people around the world subsist on refugee camps? Could it be that the same political turmoil fueled by corruption and faulty public policy is now coming to us here in the USSA? Uh, excuse me, I meant "USA." That extra "s" implies that the United States is becoming similar to the former Soviet Union. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the United States is becoming like a combination of Orwell's 1984 and Huxley's Brave New World. #maui #hawaii #climatechange #environment #1984 #surveillance #smartcity #15mincity #buffalo #wny
