Featuring creators from the spooky community, stoner filmmaker DeVaughn Taylor & film journalist Garrett McDowell discuss the recurring motifs of various sub-genres and what makes the best genre films work. New episodes every Tuesday!
NOTE: We recommend starting at Season 2 (Ep60) as that's when Garrett joined and began our current format. Season 1 was the experimental phase haha
NOTE: The first 99 episodes, we were under "Bloody Blunts" however the show didn't change, so Season 3 is where we continued as "Specter Cinema"

SOUTHBOUND (2016) // Creepy Collections
Kicking off a new month on horror anthologies, we're taking a road trip with Southbound. We're switching up the format a bit: no 60 second synopsis, no movie math. Instead we'll be going through each segment individually with their sub-genres and then rank them at the end. We're talking the cohesion of the twisty tales and how each segment takes a different look morality with connecting motifs. Put your seatbelt on, it's about to get bumpy!

Customer Reviews
Great podcast
Fun, informative work.
Bloody Blunts Cinema Club F***ing Rocks!
Long-time listener first time reviewer, I’ve been listening to Devaughn since his early days and I truly adore how much love this man has for such a underappreciated classification of moviemaking. The BBCC is a great way to engage in the community of horror lovers and they make you feel welcomed as they present an engaging listen through casual conversation; wether they are holding a film up on a pedestal or ripping it apart, the BBCC is my favorite weekly escape.
The Casual Horror Talk I Need
Love podcast. It has such a casual, relaxed vibe that I enjoy so much. Don’t get me wrong, they still dive into some great thoughts and insights into these films. But, it is a mellow, peaceful addition to my podcast listening every week.
