    Episode 198 - Don't Let Your Meta Frames Make You a Glasshole!

    It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show, as we bring you our annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference Preview with Allison, Brian, and Jeanine. However, only one of us will be making an appearance at CSUN.   Way before we get in to our CSUN coverage, we kick things off discussing how do you know when your historic unbelievable bad luck may be turning around for the better? Which then leads back to the theft and hacking Brian went through and discussing that an iPhone hacking tool is now in the hands of Russian spies.   We then discuss the bizarre story of the woman who is dealing with reverse porch piracy.   Brian then discusses finally setting up his ally Glasses and his first experiences with them.   Next up we discuss who is watching the watchers, meaning the peeps wearing the Meta Glasses. And we finally have a name for the facial Recognition feature coming to the Meta Glasses, it's called NameTag.       Which leads to us discussing Royal Caribbean banning Smart Glasses on its cruise ships.   Could using VoiceOver get you kicked off a United airlines flight soon? And here is the entire bullet point on United Airlines of something that could get you kicked off a flight that Brian could not get through. • Passengers or Passengers' Service Animals whose conduct is unlawful; indecent, lewd, or sexual in nature (including viewing offensive content); harassing; disruptive; disorderly; offensive; abusive; unsanitary; or violent.   We then dive in to our CSUN 2026 Preview as Brian will be presenting once again with Dr. Bryan Wolynski at this year's CSUN Conference on Wednesday at 11:20am, it will be one of the most entertaining sessions at this year's CSUN as they discuss Artificial Intelligence, In and On Your Face. Jeanine then fills us in on some of the big stuff coming out of Aira for this year's Conference.   Apple announced a bunch of new products this week, but are any of them worth getting? We start discussing the new M5 Mac Book Pro.  But Allison roles us right on it to the new M5 Mac book Air, as she feels that is the computer in the Mac line up to get. Which then rolls us in to discussing the new Mac Neo versus a Mac Air. Apple also released the budget friendly iPhone 17E.   We then dive in to the Apple 26 feature for the phone app to go unified or old school.   We then discuss two new iPhone apps for the blind Curb to Car and Vision AI Assistant.     Episode 195 - CES 26: Hard Tech and Soft Balls

    It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show with Allison, Brian, David, and Jeanine. We kick the year off with yet another show that goes off the rails fairly often. Boy would we have gotten canceled if we left the outakes in!   We kick the show off discussing the worst houseguest or squatter of all time!   We then discuss the six personality traits people who are cool have globally.   We then play and discuss a clip from WFAN about Stevie Wonder.   It's great to learn that luxury goods are now made as crappy as everything else. We discuss the state of products with a focus on the quality of the Meta Glasses.   Have you ever wanted to turn your iPhone in to a Blackberry? Well now you can with the Clicks Power keyboard.   The new horror film A24 turns podcasts in to the new Nightmare on Elm Street.   Did you know there is such a thing as gifted dogs?    We then dive in to our annual CES coverage, starting out discussing what else, but Smart Glasses. The first pair we discuss is the latest coming from Rokid. And a lot of us are interested in the Rocked Glasses, but not the Lumen Glasses out of Romania that are specifically designed for the blind. We do not give a great review of the Lumen Glasses, trust me, you will want to hear it.     Episode 194 - That Real Blind Tech Show Year End Spectacular, It's Real and It's Spectacular

    It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show as Allison, Brian, David, and Ed get together for the That Real Blind Tech Show year end spectacular. Jeanine was suppose to join us but she forgot how to read and tell time.   We kick the show off discussing the announcement that The Rolling Stones have canceled their 2026 worldwide tour, and it is for the most unlikely reason.   We then move on to discussing the news that iOS 26.3 will bring AirPod like pairing to third party devices in the EU> Oh no.   Waymo's go bonkers in San Francisco Blackout.   We then tackle the yearly discussion of Don't Get Scrooged with scams this holiday season.   We then discuss how Roomba invented the smart vaccum and lost the future.   We then dive in the Instacart debacle that Instacart has been using A.I. and dynamic pricing to charge different customers different prices on the same item. Which then led to lawmakers looking in to taking action against Instacart. After a really bad ten days for Instacart, they claim they have ended using their A.I  dynamic pricing program.   We then dive in to our year end review spectacular portion of the show, starting off with discussing the new internet slang that Gen-Z gave us in 2025.   Next up we discuss the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Apple in 2025. Next up we discuss what could have been one of google's worst years, turned in to one of its best. We then discuss how A.I. broke the smart home in 2025.    We then get personal with you starting out with our favorite tech innovations and products of 2025. Next we discuss our biggest tech disappointments for the year. We then discuss a couple of personal goals we were proud of in 2025. And it wouldn't be a year end review if we didn't discuss our regrets for the year.     Episode 192 -Deck the Halls with Balls and Bodily Fluids, Holiday Shopping with No Vision and Even Less Dignity

    It's an all new That Real Blind Tech show with Brian, David, and Jeanine. We have a little fun and then dive in to the latest tech news.   Brian starts things off discussing a fun experience we all have when walking the dog.   Be My Eyes won Apple's App Store of the Year Award for Cultural Impact, and on a bigger note there is a spotlight on Brian in the Be My Eyes monthly newsletter.   We then get in to the serious news of the episode as we discuss why it is important to take a Fart Walk after a big holiday dinner meal.   Nothing says comedy more than Elon Musk and Grok, as Elon thinks Grok is hilarious for roasting your co-workers.   Looks like we can finally kiss the Metaverse goodbye.   Do people hate you because you have a wonky internet connection?   Oxford's word of the year is RageBait, and yes, it is one word.   We then dive in to our least favorite conversation topics at the Holiday dinner table.   Brian then discusses his disasterous trip back to NYC. Will the airports ever get a clue?   Are ads going to ruin ChatGPT?   Will generative A.I. be smarter then a Noble Prize winner or your average bear?   Will the Anthropic 9 save the world?   If you are a bad person and have friends who use Android devices, the good news is you can now Air Drop things to them.   Amazon is now using A.I. to create season recaps in Prime Video, but will they have audio description?   In celebrating 40 years of Accessibility, Apple has released a case with a Kung Fu grip, ok, not really a Kung fu Grip, but a grip for people with hand issues.   We then dive in to our annual Black Friday shopping extravaganza, but do to us running long on our last episode, we skipped it, only to run even longer this episode, so no worries since we blew past Black Friday, we are assuming some of you may still have some shopping to do. We discuss our favorite places to shop.     Episode 191 - A.I. Has Killed Santa, But Don't Tell All the Blind Eleven Year Old Readers

Yeah, yeah, the ladies claim to be busy with work and life.   We kick the show off with an advertising disclaimer about possibly looking for a new CoHost.   After our house cleaning we start the show discussing a recent article in the NY Post, asking what is A.I. ruining for children worldwide? Brian turns the question in to our second version of the Blind Feud.   A common theme on this episode is stupidity, so we move on to discussing why I.Q. levels are dropping for the first time in decades.
