Right now, there is a huge case creating a stir within the true crime space and followers of this story are somewhat divided on what they believe happened on the night of January 29, 2022 outside of a home in Canton, Massachusetts. A man named John O’Keefe, a Boston police officer, was found dead in a blizzard outside of a house in the Boston suburb. Just six hours earlier, his girlfriend, Karen Read, dropped him off at the house in Canton, belonging to a mutual friend, Brian Albert. But what happened during those six hours, remains somewhat of a mystery and with two very different allegations of what happened that night, there is a very clear divide in the town of Canton and the realm of true crime. By the end of this episode, I’ll be curious to hear what you think about this story. Did Karen Read kill her boyfriend? Or is she being framed for a cover-up by influential, powerful members of the Boston Police Department?

Your own true crime story
Hi Kelly and Austin! I appreciate your story about your own true crime experience. I think each and every one of you who were involved, did exactly what you needed to do and were supposed to do! Our family just purchased our first house hold peace maker, of course after we purchased the safe- I wouldn’t have it any other way. I previously was against owning firearms, but like y’all said the, the way the world is today- you have no other option than to protect yourself and your family. Agreed that first responders do a very hard and under thanked job. Thank you both for this scary update and glad you all are safe!

I really enjoy you guys! My only small & hopefully constructive bit of criticism, is to please be aware of smacking your lips. I imagine swallowing, breathing, licking lips, etc., is hard to control in podcasting & that’s understandable but to keep from losing listeners, it’s my one suggestion. Keep up the good work!

One of my nurse friends told me about this podcast specifically after the death of Dr. Forsyth. Kelly does such a good job of deciphering the most detailed cases. She has the talent of grabbing your attention. Austin does a great job of being a co-host and compliments Kelly well.
