    Episode 246: Jeremiah Kipp (Director: The Mortuary Assistant)

    Show Notes: This week I also got to chat  with director Jeremiah Kipp. Jeremiah directed the film adaptation of The Mortuary Assistant which is in theatres as of this episode’s release date. Jeremiah was so much fun to talk to and we chatted for over an hour. He told me why he felt like horror movies were his friends growing up, what attracted him to direct The Mortuary Assistant, and how his cast came together. He also told me what determines whether or not he takes a project on, the video games he’d love to adapt, and a couple of the meaningful moments he had on the set of The Mortuary Assistant.     Show Notes: This week I had a conversation with the writers behind the short called Hystericus about a giant vulva monster, Jessica Lauren Richmond and Peyton Blackmer. Men, if you’re unsure of what that is, go google it. They told me where the idea for the short came from, how they found their cast, and what it’s been like taking it on the festival circuit. Jessica, who also directed the short, revealed her favorite horror directors that inspired her on the set, and they reveal their future plans for Hystericus after their festival run is finished.     Episode 241: Levi Holloway (Playwright: Paranormal Activity on stage, Grey House, & more)

    Show Notes: This week I’m chatting with playwright Levi Holloway about the stage adaptation of Paranormal Activity that he wrote and is currently touring the US, and also has a sit down production in the UK. He started by telling me how he got into seeing horror in the theatre when he was way too young, what scares him in horror movies today, and how he got the opportunity to adapt Paranormal Activity to the stage.
