5 reasons you need a blog on your e-commerce website

5 reasons you need a blog on your e-commerce website

A blog, a journal a magazine call it what you will but you need one!!!

Every e-commerce site has a customer.  Clearly!! (or I hope so!)
Therefore everyone should have blog content to help connect with your customer,  inspire your customer,  educate your customer and relate to your customer.

Whether you are a Retail store with 100's of brands and a mixture of products to a brand with a single product!

Your blog helps with SEO, builds trust, encourages conversions, solves problems for customers and is such a great long term traffic source for your website.

In this episode I give you 5 reasons ( I know there are even more!) why you need one.

And before you say it.  Yes it is another thing to do but it should be one of the first things you do and can help create other content from your blog.

Length of the blog should be between 500-1500 words ideally and each image used should also have a title that includes keyword to also help with SEO (a topic for another day!).

Want my FREE guide on 15 ways to boost traffic to your website.  Grab it here.

Why you need to be making collaborations part of your 2023 Marketing Strategy, with special guest Jess Ruhfus

Why you need to be making collaborations part of your 2023 Marketing Strategy, with special guest Jess Ruhfus

Collaborations are something every product business should have as part of their overall Marketing strategy.

The ability to reach new audiences, generate excitement and buzz, build your email list and so much more are just some of the reasons collabs should be on your radar if they are not already.

The world’s most successful brands have tapped into collaboration marketing to reach & engage new audiences - & why not?  Brand collaborations are up to 25x less expensive than digital advertising- what?!
Asos, Gucci, MAC Cosmetics, Glossier, Vogue, The Wing, Bose, Ikea - all of these brands regularly partner up with like-minded businesses for clever cross-promotion. They leverage existing assets, often currencies other than cash, to create cool products, social media or experiential collaboration.

I chat today with Jess Ruhfus the founder from Collabosaurus which is the (tinder) matchmaker for brands. They connect over 6,500+ businesses for clever marketing partnerships across the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand & the UK.

Collabosaurus is an end-to-end platform helping businesses source, secure & leverage B2B collaborations of all sizes.  Listen in to here why collabs should be aport of your Marketing strategy in 2023!
They we specialise in product based businesses such as fashion, beauty, lifestyle, food, beverage & events industries.

You can find out more about Collabosaurus here https://collabosaurus.com/ and send Jess a DM on instagram to grab her list of ideas!

Why you need to add bundles to your website- like now.

Why you need to add bundles to your website- like now.

Bundle it baby.  Want to get your e-commerce store average order value (AOV) up then add a bundle!

Make it easy make it quick and allow customers to buy more than 1 of something.

Of course I can add to cart twice but guess what by bundling it it makes it a lot easier if it is already together.

Add a bundle to your website now or even some mixed packs or gift sets.  Let me know how your stores AOV changes once you introduce this.

Don't make assumptions about how people shop.  Make life easy for them and give them options.  KI.S.S.  Offer a 3 pack, 10 pack or even a mixed pack.

Sell artwork create sets where you sell the things that look good together!

Sell tea towels offer a 5 pack.

Sell your best selling colours or fragrances as a bundle.

Showcase how things look together. It makes for way more spontaneous purchasing decisions trust me!

Some great apps you can check out are linked here. Now they might add a cost to your shopify subscription but test them out and see if they bring in more than they cost you, you are winning! You only need the ROI to be 1 and it is a success.

For more ways to boost your e-commerce sales you can register for my 5 days boost your numbers series here.
