    Summer Into Fall | GeorgiaandDanielPodcast Ep.113

    We begin with Ganiel’s Fourth of July Weekend, featuring the Oak Park Parade, a visit to the new Barnes & Noble bookstore, and a patriotic night watching #DisneyCelebratesAmerica on Disney+ along with ABC’s fireworks spectacular. July brought a unique moment when Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet job‑shadowed Daniel at United Airlines ORD, getting a behind‑the‑scenes look at airport operations. August kicked off with Ganiel’s Annual Pool N’ Pub Crawl Weekend (Aug 1–2). Geo shared her involvement with Not Your Father’s Foundation, including delivering her OK speech. Daniel and Georgia competed in the Special Olympics Illinois Regional Bocce Competition (Aug 30) — with Ganiel winning 1st place at State Regionals and heading Downstate in November. Geo traveled to Wisconsin with family, competing in SO Golf Regionals (2nd Place) and Tennis Regionals, adding more medals to her summer. Together, Daniel and Geo celebrated birthdays for nieces Lily (Aug 13) and Molly & Riley (Aug 21). We enjoyed a cozy September weekend with tea at Blackberry Market Café during opening week of the Oak Park location, followed by Saturday evening Mass at St. Bernadine Catholic Church (Sept 18–20). September wrapped with big community events: Geo attended the annual OK Classic, while Daniel joined the SO O’Hare Plane Pull (Sept 26) — where John Hayley Unbreakable Fitness won 1st place for Best Team Donations, WSSRA Bobcats won 1st place in the Halftime ShowDown vs. OK Warriors, and Daniel’s SOSA Team ranked among the top United teams. Geo also highlights the WSSRA Bobcats Gold Volleyball Team, who won 1st place at the TR Tournament (Sept 27). We close out with our Movie & TV Watch List, including Super Mario, Trap House, Spiderman: Brand New Day, Kangaroo, Hoppers, Rookie of the Year, The Mentalist, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Rogue One.     Travel Diary: Fruita, Colorado 2026

    On this month’s episode of The Georgia and Daniel Show, we’re taking you on the road with us — recording on location from Fruita, Colorado! ✈️🏔️ Our adventure begins with our NonRev standby journey from Chicago (ORD) to Denver (DEN) and on to Grand Junction (GJT)— sharing the ups and downs of flying standby and the excitement of making it to our destination. Friday kicks off with a snowy walk along the beautiful Colorado River, followed by lunch at Munchies. That evening, we enjoy a cozy spaghetti dinner with cousins and settle in to watch the Olympic Games together. On Saturday, we take a scenic drive to Ouray, exploring the charm of this small mountain town and relaxing at the historic Wiesbaden Vapor Cave. Later, we head to Ridgway for dinner at Colorado Boy Pub & Brewery, and top off the night with dessert — oatmeal raisin Reese’s Peanut Butter ice cream cookie sandwiches (yes, they’re as amazing as they sound!). From snowy strolls to small-town charm, family time to foodie finds, this episode is a joyful travel diary filled with laughter, adventure, and memories made together.
