Real Business Connections - Self-Discovery For Entrepreneurs

Ben Albert | Entrepreneur

Real Business Connections is a business self-discovery podcast for entrepreneurs, marketers, salespeople, and business owners who want to grow without becoming fake, loud, pushy, or disconnected from who they are. Hosted by Ben Albert, the show explores business, marketing, relationships, leadership, content, sales, personal growth, and the human side of success through real conversations with people who think, build, sell, create, and live differently. Yes, we talk social selling, content marketing, LinkedIn, networking, storytelling, visibility, branding, and what actually moves the needle. But we also get into the deeper stuff: human behavior, trust, persuasion, neuroplasticity, crime, cults, resilience, identity, and what makes people believe, buy, connect, change, and grow. This is not about networking louder. It is about connecting deeper. Some episodes get tactical. Some get personal. Most do both. The goal is simple: pull out the human lesson underneath the business lesson without making it heavy, stiff, or full of guru fluff. No fake visibility. No shallow networking. No hustle-culture chaos. Just real conversations, useful perspective, hard-earned wisdom, and plenty of “wow, I needed to hear that” moments. Come for the conversation. Leave with wisdom, perspective, and a better way to grow your business and yourself. Real Business Connections: Wisdom through connection. LIVE Breathwork for High Performers: Your Nervous System Has Reached Its Threshold w/ Kindra Fox (LST #166)

Learn Speak Teach Episode #166 with Kindra Fox on the Real Business Connections Podcast. Your nervous system was not built to run on overload forever. In this episode, Ben Albert sits down with Kindra Fox for a real conversation and live breathwork experience about high performance, stress, anxiety, nervous system regulation, burnout, and what happens when your body finally says, “enough.” Ben opens up about a scary moment where his body felt like it completely hard reset after months of doing too much, pushing too hard, and carrying too much stress. Kindra explains why so many high performers, entrepreneurs, and risk-takers are feeling shut down, disconnected, and unsupported by their own bodies. They talk about breathwork, meditation, the window of tolerance, emotional regulation, lung capacity, sustainable success, and why breathwork is not just a crisis tool. It is a practice you build before the crisis. Then Kindra guides Ben through a live breathwork session on the show. This episode is practical, personal, and different. It is about learning how to breathe, regulate, slow down, and expand your capacity so you can grow without burning yourself out. This conversation is not medical advice and is not meant to diagnose anything. It is an honest look at breathwork, nervous system regulation, and what happens when your body asks you to listen. Timestamps: [00:00] Trailer + Intro [01:18] Ben’s Nervous System Scare [02:35] High Performers and Internal Regulation [05:45] Expanding Your Window of Tolerance [07:25] When Risk-Takers Feel Shut Down [08:27] Breathwork vs. Meditation [10:31] Slowing Down High Performers [12:20] When Intense Breathwork Backfires [13:20] Sustainable Success [16:24] Live Breathwork Session [39:03] Ben’s Breathwork Experience [40:05] Lung Capacity as a Skill [42:19] Breathwork Is Not a Crisis Tool [44:56] Kindra’s Breathwork Origin Story Live Breathwork Track: https://open.spotify.com/track/0L1C4xEdt7Q5O8YMAxBsUp?si=025099ddd66f4c28 Key Takeaways:   • High performers often want more growth, expansion, and achievement, but forget the internal regulation required to sustain it. ~Kindra Fox • Your nervous system has a threshold. When it reaches that point, your body can start to feel shut down, disconnected, or unable to support you. ~Kindra Fox • Breathwork can help you regulate your nervous system, expand your capacity, and feel safer holding more stress, energy, and responsibility. ~Kindra Fox • The real unlock for many high performers is not more intensity. It is slowing down, creating space, and learning how to keep going without burning out. ~Kindra Fox • Breathwork is not just a crisis tool. It works best when it becomes a daily practice and part of your lifestyle. ~Kindra Fox • “The average person uses about thirty percent of their lung capacity over the course of their life.” ~Kindra Fox • The breath is a skill. You are not going to be perfect at it right away, but you can train it. ~Kindra Fox Keep In Touch with Kindra Fox: Higher Energy: https://iamhigherenergy.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/iamhigherenergy/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/iamhigherenergy/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@iamhighersound Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7076ekt3x3pun9oKlE5xnS Coherence - Guided Breathwork: https://open.spotify.com/track/0L1C4xEdt7Q5O8YMAxBsUp?si=025099ddd66f4c28 — Follow Balbert… Facebook: www.facebook.com/realbusinessconnections Instagram: www.instagram.com/realbenalbert/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/realbenalbert/ Website:  https://www.realbusinessconnections.com/ – LST is made possible by www://balbertmarketing.com/

Action Creates Clarity w/ Heather Parady (REPLAY)

In honor of the Empowered Podcasting Conference last week, we're replaying 3 past episodes highlighting speakers from the incredible event. Enjoy! https://empoweredpodcasting.com/ Fifteen Minute Fridays episode #55 Heather Parady. Sadly, there are so many people with ideas that could positively impact many people but fail to do so because they fail to have the balls to start. According to Heather, today's episode guest, action creates clarity; projects usually reveal themselves by honoring them through starting.  Heather is a mental health therapist turned online entrepreneur who helps outside-the-box leaders bring their services online to scale their impact. She has hosted multiple top-ranking shows and conducted over a thousand interviews. She has been featured in Forbes, Pop-Sugar, and, most importantly, the front of her mom’s refrigerator. Heather asserts that you need to start where you are and with what you have instead of fixating on the end goal. One needs to work backward by asking oneself what one small thing can do today with what one currently has.  The productive/creative process is disciplined, and one needs to love what one does because genuine passion drives commitment and consistency. This disciplined process favors even a small commitment of five minutes daily instead of sporadic bursts of motivation.  To be productive, one has to set restrictions. These restrictions could range from having to do something towards your daily goal for five minutes. In the case of Heather, she has a seat whereby she puts the restriction of not getting up until she has done what needs to be done.  In case you are a creative who does not know where to start, Heather advices that finding your voice starts with using your voice. Tune in and learn! Watch The Episode on Youtube: https://youtu.be/UNeEURRrXY8 Quote Of The Day: “Action creates clarity." ~Heather Parady Timestamp: [01:26] Learning from Observation [05:31] Uncovering Clarity Through Action [06:56] Finding Voice Through Action [09:23] Simplifying Complex Ideas [10:43] Disciplined Ideation Process [12:32] Editing Process and Content Quality [13:28] Taking Action with Available Resources [15:21] Overcoming Inaction [16:20] Embracing Creative Restrictions Key Takeaways:   • “There are hints given to us only through action.” ~ Heather Parady [04:32] • “The secret is not in these tools, the secret is your own balls.” ~ Heather Parady [14:27] • What is one thing you can do today to move closer to your objective? [15:14] • Consistency surpasses sporadic bursts of excitement or enthusiasm even if it's just five minutes a day. [15:55] • Restricting yourself creatively can enhance productivity. [16:07] Integration Assignment:  Look at what's in your hand. What do you have at your disposal right now? And ask this question to yourself honestly, am I utilizing it to its full extent? Ask yourself what i the next right move? What small thing can you do today towards your goal?. [13:44] People Mentioned and Other Resources: 1. Learn Speak Teach Episode #164 with Nippy Ames of "A Little Bit Culty" on the Real Business Connections Podcast. Cults, control, and coercion are not always as obvious as we think. In this unfiltered conversation, Ben Albert sits down with Nippy Ames, co-host of "A Little Bit Culty" and co-author of "A Little Bit Culty: Navigating Cults, Control and Coercion," to explore how high-control groups, online gurus, word salad, love bombing, extreme belief systems, and unchecked authority can pull people in. Nippy breaks down why people do not join cults because they are stupid. They often join because they are looking for purpose, community, structure, meaning, healing, or belonging. Ben and Nippy also talk about Scientology, Twin Flames, sovereign citizens, gaslighting, social media grifts, and the subtle ways culty patterns can show up in business, politics, wellness, relationships, and personal development. This episode is about pattern recognition, human susceptibility, and the wisdom that comes from asking better questions. You will learn what makes something culty, why people stay, how to help someone without pushing them further away, and what reclaiming your life can look like after leaving a high-control environment. Content note: This conversation includes discussion of cults, coercive control, abuse, manipulation, politics, and strong language. Ask questions, stay curious, and remain in their life. ~Nippy Ames • Cults do not hook people because they are stupid. They hook people through pain, purpose, trust, identity, and blind spots. ~Nippy Ames • Culty patterns are not limited to cults. About
