E232: Carrots, tomatoes and Barcelona beating Getafe at home
Barcelona beat Getafe 1-0 on Sunday to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Pedri got the game's only goal but it was not Barça's best performance of the season.
Sam, Rik and Toni discuss why that might have been the case, look at the front line of Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha and reveal some high-profile footballers who were among the Camp Nou crowd.
They also look ahead to Wednesday's big Copa del Rey quarterfinal against Real Sociedad.

E227: Barça take three points at the Wet-ropolitano to go three clear in LaLiga
It was a great weekend for Barcelona as they beat Atletico Madrid to capitalise on Real Madrid's slip up against Villarreal. Xavi Hernandez's side are now three points clear at the top of LaLiga after 16 games.
Sam and Rik take you through Sunday's night's 1-0 win over Atletico from a cafe in Madrid on Monday morning over coffee and tortilla. Ousmane Dembele was the match winner but it was also a big game for Barça's rearguard, with Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen stepping up.
They also look ahead to the Supercopa game against Real Betis on Thursday, although there will be more to come on that match later in the week with Toni flying to Saudi Arabia to cover the tournament.

Sam and Rik were at Camp Nou on Saturday as Barcelona ended 2022 with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Espanyol. Marcos Alonso gave Barça the lead in the Catalan derby, but Joselu's penalty earned Espanyol a point before referee Mateu Lahoz took centre stage.
After the game, Sam and Rik discussed the performance, Raphinha and Ansu Fati concerns, the Lahoz circus, Lewandowski's on hold ban and more.
Happy New Year and here's to a Siempre Positivo 2023!

Visca Siempre Positivo
As a culé I am self loathing pessimist and I am gutted by the abysmal downward spiral the club finds itself in. However, this podcast has been a beam of light breaking through the dark clouds. Thanks to Sid Lowe, Phd., for name dropping his “podcast rivals” on his pod. Eternally indebted, keep up the good work chavales.
Too much travel stuff
Don’t want to hear about travel issues for 20 mins of pod
Más Que Un Pod
I have been a Barca fans since the days of the galatacticos. The dark days where Madrid ruled Spain and the world. Ronaldinho made me like Barca and Messi made me fall in love. That being said, I had been looking for an honest, entertaining, and insightful pod since the rise of the podcasts. I had followed Sam for a while now on Twitter and he was my go to guy for all Barca news. Thankfully Sam along with Rik and Toni decided to create this pod. This pod will give you honest opinions of the club (just listen to Rik’s the Chelsea fan ratings and you will see.) You have the entertaining Toni el socio always giving the pod a Catalan point of view. And to top it off you have the mellowed Sam as your host and mediator. Highly recommend this pod for Blaugranas and neutrals as well. Barca, Messi, Siempre Positivo. In that order.
