Your host, Mike King, brings over four decades of experience in criminal justice and behavioral analysis. A retired law enforcement executive, Mike served as Chief of Staff to Utah Attorney General Jan Graham and Weber County Attorney Reed M. Richards. He began his career at the Ogden Police Department, where he worked patrol, motor enforcement, and SWAT before moving into investigations where he led task forces that hunted serial predators and violent offenders. Mike’s expertise earned him national recognition. He served as co-chair of the FBI’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) National Advisory Board, directed UTAP, the Utah Criminal Tracking and Analysis Project, and supported intelligence operations during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. After retiring from public service, Mike joined the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri), where he spent years consulting with police agencies around the globe on intelligence gathering, emergency communications, and major event management. In 2024, he retired again, this time to focus full-time on Profiling Evil and its growing community of true crime investigators, students, and enthusiasts. Mike is an internationally recognized speaker, trainer, and adjunct professor, as well as a visiting scholar at multiple universities.     Judge Hammers Caleb Flynn with Life Without Parole, the Final Nail in His Coffin | Profiling Evil

    An Ohio judge just sentenced Caleb Flynn to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the aggravated murder of his wife Ashley, the mother of his children. The court stacked consecutive time on top of that sentence, seven years on the firearm specifications and nine years on the evidence-tampering counts, all served before the life term even begins. That means Flynn will have 16 years to serve in prison before his life sentence begins. Medical examinations revealed evidence of sexual trauma and when the child died three days later, the medical examiner announced she was murdered by strangulation. Her uncle, #DavidWesleyPrevatte, #DavidPrevatte was inside the home that night and after 5 years of investigation, Prevatte was charged with her murder. He was actually a person of interest for four years before his arrest. Now, nearly nine years after Paitin’s death, Prevatte is finally on trial and the prosecution and defense just laid out two very different versions of what happened inside that home.
