Cacao Conversations: Sip. Connect. Awaken.

Julietta Wenzel and Dorice Ross

This is more than a podcast. It's a place to pause, breathe, and remember who you are beneath all the roles, expectations, and stories you've carried. Each week, we invite you to pour a cup of ceremonial cacao and join us for honest conversations about what it really means to live awake. Together, we explore the places where we give our power away, the beliefs that quietly shape our lives, and the simple practices that help us return to ourselves. This isn't about fixing yourself. It isn't about becoming someone new. It's about remembering the wisdom that's been within you all along. Through authentic conversations, spiritual exploration, nervous system awareness, and grounded personal practices, we challenge old patterns, question inherited beliefs, and create space for a different way of living—one rooted in self-trust, authenticity, and conscious choice. Whether you're navigating change, craving deeper connection, or simply sensing there's another way to move through life, you'll find thoughtful conversations that invite you to slow down, listen inward, and embody what you already know. So pour your cacao, take a breath, and join us. Because the life you're searching for isn't waiting somewhere out there. It's waiting for you to remember.

    Can You Still Hear Yourself?

You've asked for advice.  You've read the books.  You've listened to the podcasts.  You've taken the courses.  You've sought guidance from people you trust.  But at some point, a question begins to emerge: Can I still hear myself beneath all the noise?  Many of us spend years looking outside ourselves for answers. We learn to trust experts, authority figures, family members, partners, and even strangers before we trust our own inner knowing.  Over time, it becomes harder to tell the difference between our truth and someone else's expectations.  In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we're exploring self-trust, intuition, conditioning, and the challenge of hearing your own voice in a world full of opinions.  We talk about:  -why so many women struggle to trust themselves  -the difference between intuition and fear  -how conditioning shapes our decisions  -why seeking advice can sometimes create more confusion -reconnecting with your inner knowing  -self-trust as a daily practice  -community, support, and remembering your own wisdom  What if the answers you've been searching for aren't outside of you?  What if you've simply become disconnected from the voice that has been there all along?  If you've been second-guessing yourself, feeling uncertain, or struggling to know what's true for you, this conversation is for you. Because remembering who you are begins with learning to hear yourself again.  New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly.  Sip. Connect. Awaken.  Hey! Thanks for listening! Who Would You Be Without the Roles?

You've spent your life being who everyone needed you to be.  The responsible one.  The strong one.  The caretaker.  The helper.  The peacemaker.  The leader.  The healer.  But have you ever stopped to ask yourself: Who would I be without all those roles?  Many of us become so identified with what we do for others that we lose touch with who we truly are. We become experts at meeting expectations, solving problems, and carrying responsibilities, while quietly disconnecting from ourselves in the process.  In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we're exploring the roles we play, the identities we've outgrown, and what it means to remember who we are beneath the conditioning, expectations, and labels.  We talk about:  how roles can both support and limit us why so many women feel lost even after building a successful life the burden of always being "the strong one" what happens when an identity no longer fits the difference between who you are and what you do self-discovery, authenticity, and living your truth remembering who you are beneath the stories you've been telling yourself What if you're not lost?  What if you've simply outgrown the version of yourself you've been carrying?  This conversation is an invitation to get curious about who you are beneath the labels, the responsibilities, and the expectations.  Because remembering who you are may be the most important journey of all.  For an intensive experience of remembering your truth, join us in Florida, Oct 15-18 for our Reclaiming Your Sacred Fire Women's Retreat. I've Done the Work... So Why Am I Still Stuck?

I've read the books.  I've listened to the podcasts.  I've been to therapy.  I've done the healing.  So why do I still feel stuck?  If you've ever found yourself asking that question, you're not alone.  Many women reach a point where they understand their patterns, know their triggers, and can explain exactly why they do what they do. They have spent years investing in personal growth, self-development, and healing. And yet something still feels missing.  In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we're exploring the gap between knowing and living. The difference between awareness and embodiment. The difference between understanding your patterns and actually changing them.  We talk about:  why awareness alone doesn't create transformation the hidden trap of collecting information without integration moving from intellectual healing into embodied healing why high-achieving women often stay stuck despite doing so much inner work nervous system patterns that keep us repeating old behaviors the loneliness of trying to heal and grow in isolation the role community plays in real, lasting change what it actually means to live your truth instead of simply understanding it At some point, the answer isn't more information. At some point, the invitation is to stop learning about yourself and start living as yourself.  If you've been feeling the pull toward something deeper, this conversation is for you. Because maybe you're not stuck. Maybe you're being called into a new level of embodiment, authenticity, and connection.   If you're ready for the next level, join us at our next retreat! https://www.bodyandsoulevents.love/sacred-fire  New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly.  Sip. The Sneaky Ways We Give Our Power Away

Most people think giving away their power is obvious.  They think it looks like toxic relationships, difficult bosses, manipulative people, or circumstances beyond their control.  But some of the biggest ways we give our power away are much more subtle.  They show up in our everyday thoughts, habits, expectations, relationships, and the stories we tell ourselves.  In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we're exploring the less obvious ways we unknowingly hand our power over to other people, situations, and even our own conditioning.  We talk about:  • waiting for permission before taking action  • making other people responsible for how we feel  • the need to be understood, validated, or approved of  • expectations and attachment to outcomes  • comparison and self-doubt  • ignoring our intuition and inner knowing  • the stories and identities that keep us stuck  • why trying to do everything alone is also a form of giving away our power  Most people think power is something they need to gain.  What if power is less about gaining something and more about recognizing where you've been giving it away?  This conversation is an invitation to become more aware, more intentional, and more honest about the patterns that may be draining your energy without you even realizing it.  Because reclaiming your power doesn't always require a dramatic life change.  Sometimes it begins by noticing the small leaks.  And once you see them, you can't unsee them.  New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly.  Sip. Are Your Expectations Blinding You?

Most of us have expectations.  Expectations about how life should unfold.  How other people should behave.  How quickly we should heal.  What success should look like.  Who we should be by now.  We often think expectations help us get more out of life. We think they keep us motivated, focused, and moving toward our goals.  But what if they're actually doing the opposite? What if our expectations are keeping us stuck, disappointed, resentful, and blind to what's right in front of us?  In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we're exploring the expectations we place on ourselves, the expectations we place on others, and the expectations we place on life itself.  We talk about:  why expectations so often lead to frustration and disappointment the hidden contracts we create with other people "it was supposed to..." and the stories we tell ourselves how expectations can create resentment in our relationships the pressure we place on ourselves to be further along the difference between having intentions and being attached to outcomes how expectations can prevent us from seeing new possibilities Sometimes the very thing we're clinging to is the thing standing in the way of what wants to emerge.  If you've ever found yourself frustrated because life isn't going according to plan, this conversation is for you. Because maybe the problem isn't that life has gone wrong. Maybe your expectations are keeping you from seeing what's possible.  New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly.  Sip. Connect. Being Needed Is Not the Same as Being Loved

Last week, we started a conversation about people pleasing, overgiving, and what happens when helping everyone else starts hurting you.  This week, we're going deeper. Because the real issue isn't helping people. The real question is: Who are you if nobody needs you? Many of us learned that being useful was the safest way to receive love, approval, connection, or a sense of worth. We became the helper, the fixer, the caretaker, the strong one. We learned to anticipate other people's needs while often ignoring our own. But eventually, that way of living catches up with us.  The exhaustion.  The resentment.  The feeling of being unseen.  The disappointment when the people we've given so much to don't show up for us in the same way.  In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we're exploring the deeper wounds beneath people pleasing and the hidden cost of building your identity around being needed.  We talk about:  -why helping others can feel so good  -the difference between love and validation  -overgiving, burnout, and resentment  -why so many helpers struggle to receive support  -healthy community versus rescuing -what happens when your worth becomes tied to your usefulness  -how to begin reconnecting with your value beyond what you do for others  Because being needed is not the same as being loved.  And your worth was never meant to depend on how much of yourself you give away.  New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly.  Sip. Grounding Isn’t Optional

Everyone wants intuition.  Purpose.  Manifestation.  Peace.  Connection.  Answers.  But most people are trying to build their lives from a completely ungrounded nervous system. We live in a world that keeps pulling us out of our bodies and into stress, distraction, overwhelm, comparison, fear, overthinking, and information overload. Then we wonder why we feel anxious, exhausted, disconnected, and all over the place.  In this episode, we’re talking about grounding. Real grounding. Not just “go stand barefoot in the grass” grounding.  We talk about:  what grounding actually means why so many spiritual people still feel unstable the obsession with upper chakras while ignoring the roots nervous systems, presence, and living in reality instead of constantly escaping it why grounding is the foundation for healing, intuition, clarity, purpose, and real transformation We also talk about community and connection… because roots were never meant to grow alone. Nature already knows this. Trees communicate and support each other through the mycelium beneath the surface. The strongest roots are connected roots. And honestly? I think humanity has forgotten that.  This conversation is an invitation to slow down, come back into your body, reconnect to what actually matters, and build a foundation strong enough to hold the life you say you want. Because grounding isn’t what limits your spirituality. It’s what allows it to become real.  New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly.  Sip. Connect. Awaken.  Hey! Thanks for listening! When Life Doesn’t Look the Way You Imagined

Mother’s Day can bring up a lot.  Grief.  Longing.  Love.  Resentment.  Regret.  Sadness for what was… and sadness for what never was.  In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we use Mother’s Day as the doorway into a much deeper conversation: What happens when life doesn’t look the way you imagined?  Maybe you lost your mother.  Maybe you lost a child.  Maybe becoming a mother never happened the way you hoped.  Maybe your relationship with your mother is complicated.  Maybe the life you thought you’d have by now looks completely different.  And underneath all of it is something many people quietly carry:  The grief of unmet expectations.  The grief of identities, timelines, dreams, and futures we built ourselves around.  This conversation is about more than motherhood. It’s about learning how to stop defining yourself by the life that didn’t happen… and reconnecting with the life that’s asking to be lived now.  We also explore:  • the deeper meaning of the sacred feminine  • creation beyond motherhood  • identity, purpose, and reinvention  • the loneliness so many people feel around unmet expectations  • why community and honest conversations matter more than ever  You are not alone in this.  And maybe the next version of your life begins the moment you stop worshipping the one you thought you were supposed to have.  If this conversation resonates, this is the kind of work we explore inside: Reclaim Your Power — The Remembering: A 6-Week Journey Back to Your True Self A space where you are seen, supported, challenged, and reminded who you truly are.  New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly.  Sip.
