City Cast Denver

Have followed this podcast for a couple of years and i do still believe it’s a great daily discussion of what’s going on in town. However… Some of the platformed guests are baffling (e.g a multipart series punching up Boebert who pretty clearly just hates denver, you know, the topic of the show and the city we live in) and Paul feels like he’s actively striving to be a contrarian anytime something remotely hot button comes up. It’s frustrating because when the show is good, it’s very good. Not every point that disagrees with basic logic needs to be given equal weight, y’all.

I enjoy the podcast although I do wish it had more diversity of voices across the political spectrum as it leans very progressive (I get it, it’s Denver). That said, I appreciate that the show keeps me clued in to what’s going on in the city. 3 stars for adding unrelated podcasts to its feed via the “YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE” feature. When multiple podcasts do this it makes my playlists useless with auto playing 50% of podcasts I’m not subscribed to, nor have any interest in. STOP IT!!!! NO, I don’t want to listen to Oprah. I’ve unsubscribed from multiple podcasts now because of this inconsiderate nonsense. Remove that feature and I’ll bump up the rating.

If you love listening to white progressives lecture you about all the causes, this is your show. Bree sighs, a lot, to really really emphasize how compassionate she is. Unfortunately her brain is powered by a hamster wheel so she only knows the buzzwords like “no human is illegal on stolen land.” Oh and she’s a big fan of diners and Betty bop. So listen in as they talk about progressive policies, as if they haven’t failed and ruined every great American city, while they bring on a barrage of guests who are helping destroy Colorado. And listen for the sighs, because Bree has a heavy burden to carry.

City cast Denver needs to hire a person to sit in the background and explain basic things like how insurance works when the hosts fail to make the right connections
