Cracktastic Plastic 196: A-Z Toy Challenge + Vintage Toy World - Toy Podcast

It’s time to put our collections—and our alphabet skills—to the test! In the A-Z Toy Challenge, Elgn, Mike, and Jason take turns working their way through the alphabet, each pulling out a toy or character whose name starts with the next letter. A, B, C… all the way to Z! Sounds easy, right? Sure… until somebody gets stuck with Q, X, or Z. Expect deep cuts, weird picks, childhood favorites, questionable loopholes, and plenty of plastic-powered panic as we see if we can make it through all 26 letters without completely losing our ABCs. Twenty-six letters. Three collectors. One toy-filled challenge. Let’s see what we’ve got! We also spotlight Vintage Toy World in our Store Tour segment and discuss whether it’s a shop everyone should visit someday. Cracktastic Plastic 195: Ratchet Joint Ruckus + A+ Comics & Collectibles - Toy Podcast

Click, click, click... let the ruckus begin! This week on Cracktastic Plastic, we’re cranking things up with Ratchet Joint Ruckus! We’re digging into our collections to show off toys with those wonderfully satisfying ratcheting joints — the kind that click into place, hold a pose, and make every adjustment feel just a little more mechanical. From hefty heroes and robotic relics to figures with joints built to survive some serious shelf posing, we’re celebrating the clicks, clacks, and chunky articulation that make these toys so much fun to mess with. So grab your favorite figure, give those joints a good crank, and join us for a whole lot of ratcheting, reminiscing, and ridiculousness! We also spotlight A+ Comics & Collectibles in our Store Tour segment and discuss whether it’s a shop everyone should visit someday. Cracktastic Plastic 193: Flock Around and Find Out + Berndt Comics & Toys - Toy Podcast

This week, we’re getting soft, fuzzy, and just a little flocked up! The guys are digging into their collections to show off toys covered in that strange, velvety magic known as flocking. From fuzzy animals and furry monsters to characters that somehow look better covered in tiny fibers, we’re celebrating the toys that dared to get a little extra texture. Which figures nailed the fuzzy look? Which ones have aged into patchy little disasters? And why does flocking make a toy feel instantly more special? Grab your lint roller and join us as we Flock Around and Find Out! We also spotlight Berndt Comics & Toys in our Store Tour segment and discuss whether it’s a shop everyone should visit someday. Cracktastic Plastic 192: Trading Spaces + Astro-Zombies -Toy Podcast

This week, we’re crossing the toy room borders! CORPS member Wildish Bill Fisher picked our topic: Trading Spaces! We all have our usual collecting specialties—but what happens when we wander into somebody else’s aisle? Does Jason have any G.I. Joe or TMNT hiding among the Transformers? Has Elgn let a Transformer or two sneak into his MOTU kingdom? And what has Mike collected that belongs in somebody else’s toy territory? We’re digging through our collections to find the toys that break our own rules, blur the battle lines, and prove that sometimes the best plastic is found outside your comfort zone. It’s collection confusion, specialty swapping, and a whole lot of “Wait… YOU own that?!” We also spotlight Astro-Zombies in our Store Tour segment and discuss whether it’s a shop everyone should visit someday.
