    293. I Love My Life… So Why Don't I Feel Like Myself Anymore? | Feeling Lost, Disconnected & Stuck in Midlife

You can love your life, adore your family, and feel genuinely grateful… and still wonder, "Why don't I feel like myself anymore?" In this episode of The Well, we're talking about the woman who has a good life on paper but feels flat, restless, uninspired, disconnected, or unsure of what she wants next. Maybe nothing is technically wrong. You're not looking to blow up your marriage, quit your job, move across the country, or completely reinvent your life. You just know something feels missing. This episode explores why that feeling doesn't necessarily mean you need a dramatic life change. Sometimes what you really need is enough space to hear yourself again. We'll talk about losing yourself inside motherhood, marriage, work, responsibility, and caregiving; why gratitude and longing can exist at the same time; how restlessness can actually give you important information; and why your next season may be less about "finding your purpose" and more about noticing what makes you feel alive again. You'll also hear simple questions to help you reconnect with yourself, your passions, your creativity, and the parts of you that may have gone quiet over the years. If you've been thinking: "I have a good life, so why do I feel unfulfilled?" "I love my family, but I feel like I've lost myself." "I don't know what I want anymore." "I feel stuck in midlife." "I want something that feels like mine again." "I want more purpose, passion, and energy without changing everything." This episode is for you. This is also exactly where I start with women in coaching: figuring out what's missing without blowing up what's already good. You may not need a brand-new life. You may simply need to find your way back to yourself. Welcome to The Well Community! Introducing The Lindsay Clancy Case, Understanding Postpartum Psychosis from The Oprah Podcast. Follow the show: The Oprah Podcast The Lindsay Clancy case has captured the nation’s attention, causing heated debate in the national conversation. On January 24, 2023 Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children in her basement and then attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window in her house. The resulting injuries left her paralyzed from the waist down. After 21 days of testimony from more than 80 witnesses, the jury was not able to reach a unanimous decision. Lindsay Clancy’s defense team has argued that she is not guilty by reason of insanity as she was experiencing postpartum psychosis, while the prosecution argued she committed premeditated first degree murder. Oprah is in Massachusetts for a wide-ranging conversation about the case with an audience including an exclusive interview with Meg Hamp, a nurse who worked alongside Lindsay for 7 years and testified at her trial - plus medical experts, legal scholars and women who have personally experienced postpartum psychosis. Their stories give us a rare, first-hand insight into what it is to experience this challenging mental health issue. Oprah will also talk with social critics who will share their opinions and she will hear speculation on many sides of the case. Oprah has hosted conversations on postpartum depression and psychosis for 40 years with the intention of providing a platform for a mature discussion. 292. Don't Lose Her in the Teen Years: Building a Strong Mother-Daughter Relationship with Courtney Lockridge

GET COURTNEY'S FREE GUIDE HERE   What if one of the best things you could do for your relationship with your daughter was to simply study her? In this episode of The Well, I sit down with Courtney Lockridge, a coach for moms of preteen girls, to talk about what she learned while raising a daughter who was very different from her. Instead of expecting her daughter to think, communicate, or respond the way she did, Courtney became intentional about learning who her daughter truly was. That decision helped them navigate the preteen and teenage years while protecting their connection—and today, with her daughter in college, they share a beautiful relationship. If you are raising a preteen girl, teenage daughter, tween daughter, or young adult daughter, this conversation will give you practical encouragement for staying connected without trying to control who she is becoming. Courtney Lockridge a is Christian mom of 20 years and coach for moms of preteen girls. I help moms build strong, healthy connections with their daughters through faith, intentional communication, and practical tools that create long-term trust and confidence. I live in Nebraska, have three kids ages 13-20, have been married for 24 years and love cooking, reading and being in nature when I'm not cheering my kids on at their many sporting events.   hello@courtneylockridge.com courtneylockridge.com     Welcome to The Well Community! 291. From Trauma to Healing: Jen Heller's 30-Year Wellness Journey + Infrared Sauna Tips for Midlife Women

Today's episode is a powerful conversation about resilience, healing, and learning to support your body through every season of life. I'm joined by Jen Heller, host of the Homes That Heal podcast, who shares the incredible story that changed the trajectory of her life. After surviving a devastating explosion that took the life of a dear friend, Jen went on to experience serious health struggles in the years that followed—including an episode where the left side of her body became paralyzed for a time.. That experience became the beginning of a decades-long journey of asking deeper questions about her health and environment. Over the next 30 years, Jen focused on reducing her exposure to heavy metals, addressing thyroid concerns, making lifestyle changes, and ultimately losing weight and walking other people through creating lives and homes that HEAL. One tool that became an important part of Jen's personal wellness routine? Infrared sauna. During our conversation, I walk Jen through my current infrared sauna routine, and she helps me fine-tune it—especially for women navigating midlife, perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. One of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that wellness doesn't have to be extreme to be effective. Our bodies change, our needs change, and sometimes healing looks less like pushing harder and more like learning how to support ourselves well. If you have an infrared sauna—or you've been wondering whether one might fit into your wellness routine—this is an episode you'll want to hear. And even if sauna isn't your thing, Jen's story is an incredible reminder of what can happen when we become curious about our bodies, our homes, and the things we expose ourselves to every day. Listen in and share this episode with a woman who is navigating midlife and wants to feel better in her body. This episode shares personal experiences and general wellness information and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always talk with your healthcare provider about what is appropriate for you, particularly if you have a medical condition or are considering significant changes to your wellness routine. 288. Embracing the Tension: Moving Through Grief When Loss Changes Everything with Stacie Tchividjian

What does it mean to move forward after losing someone you love—especially when the grief never completely goes away? In today's episode of The Well podcast, Kari Davis welcomes Stacie Tchvidjian from The Sanctuary in Jupiter, FL (and online ministries!) to talk about Embracing the Tension, a women's online gathering created to offer honest conversation, faith-filled encouragement, and meaningful community during life's most complicated seasons. Stacie is inviting women to join the next Embracing the Tension online gathering on Thursday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, where Kari will share her personal story of losing her husband, becoming a widow, and learning how to rebuild a life that looked completely different from the one she had planned. Register HERE! Grief is not something we simply "get over." Loss changes us. The pain may soften, and life may begin to grow around it, but grief often remains part of our story. Over time, we learn how to carry both sorrow and joy, heartbreak and hope, gratitude and longing. That is what it means to embrace the tension. In this heartfelt conversation, Kari and Stacie discuss how their friendship began and how women can acknowledge the reality of their pain without losing hope, how faith can sustain us when life no longer makes sense, and how healing does not require us to forget the person or life we lost. This online support is for anyone walking through: The death of a spouse or loved one Widowhood and life after loss Grief that resurfaces years later Unexpected life transitions A season of loneliness or uncertainty The tension between faith and unanswered questions Learning to feel joy without guilt Supporting a grieving friend or family member Rebuilding life after tragedy Finding Christian hope during grief You do not have to rush your healing or pretend that everything is okay. You can deeply miss what was while still making room for what is becoming. Grief may always be part of your life, but it does not have to be the end of your story. Join Kari, Stacie, and the women of Embracing the Tension for an honest and compassionate conversation about grief, faith, resilience, widowhood, healing, and finding hope within a new normal.   Register HERE!
