Hope in the Holy Land w/ Justin Kron - Ep. 92

Conflict, warfare, hostilities are all part of our human experience. In the film we examine today, we look closely at conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis. The medium is a film entitled Hope in the Holy Land. It is a thought-provoking documentary that follows American Christian Todd Morehead as he travels throughout the Isreal and the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) to find out what the facts are behind the conflict between these two distinct peoples. Through conversations that Todd has with everyday Palestinians and Israelis, we witness for ourselves how difficult it is to love your enemy. You’ve no doubt been exposed to the great animosity that exist between the Jews and the Arabs in the media. Are these stories blown out of proportion or is the divide as presented? Peering through the looking glass by an American Christian we find an inverted world populated by people we do not understand. Todd immerses himself in the land between and seeks reason from both of these disparate peoples. The hostility and complexity of the conflict are surfaced. Our emotions for people who through no fault of their own are dealing with this historic ugly affair are moved. https://hopeintheholyland.com/ We, Scott and Gabe, need to know if you guys like the content. Biblical Soteriology w/ Stephen Lewis - Ep. 91

Steve Lewis has written a book on Soteriology from a free grace and Grace Evangelical Societies perspective. He gives a master’s class in Ad Fontes which consists of a collection of selected essays he wrote previously on Biblical soteriology in the New Testament. His use of a consistent biblical hermeneutic is a great strength in this work. The introductions states that the book is not meant to be a comprehensive treatment on the doctrine of Salvation, but an account of what Jesus Christ accomplished for the believer in His death and resurrection. Steve explains in biblical terms, what remains vague to so many believers about the great gift of salvation. We recommend this presentation of the gospel message. https://www.amazon.com/Collection-Selected-Biblical-Soteriology-Testament/dp/B0DXBZ271K We, Scott and Gabe, need to know if you guys like the content. Whatever Happened to Manhood? w/ Dr. Wayne Braudrick - Ep. 88

Today we look at what it means to be a man. Not the idea of a man’s man like the world admires, but what the Bible teaches about manhood. Wayne Braudrick undertook a series on biblical manhood at his church in the Dallas area and later published his work in this short but interesting work. Today men are judged by their adolescent like behavior and unwillingness to grow up. Wayne focuses in on the behavior of biblical manhood. Such a real man keeps his word. Real men keep their focus on what is important and five other areas of concern. Please listen to Wayne as he explains to us the Bibles call to manhood.
