    Snow, a Sacking and a Winless Top 6: Part 1

    Nobody up the top seems to want to go up, not one of the teams in the top six at the start of the Jornada won this weekend. We also saw some serious snow and a plea from Pique in Andorra, yet another sacking in the division - the 12th of the season so far, Malaga continue their march up the table, Leganes win and score 3 for the second week in a row, captain, talisman and one of the longest serving players in Segunda division announces he is leaving his club much to the fan’s disgust and two teams return to their rightful homes.     Late Festive Gifts Part 2

    This week was another bad one for teams at the top, unless you play in yellow, that is, with three of the top four dropping points and the leaders Racing Santander having their lead at the top cut from 4 to 3 points. The queue to join the party is closer than ever with just 3 points now separating 3rd position and 9th position in the division. There were late festive gifts, with 6 of the games being decided in the last 15 minutes including 3 games being decided after the 88th minute. Meanwhile it was a fantastic week for Segunda sides in the Copa with 5 through to the next round and Granada still to play in the new year.  We are making the commitment to giving the gift of talking about all 11 games across our two main shows this week.     Angry Coaches and Nobody Wins

    This week we saw none of the top four win and bizarrely Racing Santander still extended their lead at the top, we have the unexpected departure of not one but TWO Segunda coaches, one of them after winning 3-0 away from home, and sparks flew in the post match press conferences with Pacheta of Granada CF and Luis Garcia of UD Las Palmas particularly unhappy with what had happened off rather than on the pitch.     Home Sour Home and Remontadas Part 2

    This week we saw multiple changes and multiple cup disasters for Segunda sides, another Segunda coach lost his job, it was home sour home as at the time of recording we have seen NO Home wins in any of the 11 Segunda games of the MD Racing Santander went outright top with a stunning remontada and CD Castellon showed us they are here to stay with a statement win in Riazor.  In Part 2 we cover Racing's remontada against Cadiz, the lack of home wins and the trouble it causes for Real Sociedad B and Eibar as well as the bizarre managerial situations at a number of clubs currently.
