Miracles that happen when you go on a pilgrimage

Doing a pilgrimage like the Camino de Compostela is becoming more and more popular. Maybe people search for solitude, meaning, clarity, adventure, time in nature, it doesn't matter but the Camino leaves you changed. I dreamed about doing the Camino for years. The Camino calls you, it waits for you and it shifts something in you. There are so many amazing and surprising things that I found while walking these ancient pilgrimage routes but one was most important - the waters of Earth. I call the Camino - the way of water. Let me take you with me in this episode, to explore these ancient routes along the sacred energies of Earth. Ancestral Stories to Carry You Through Grief

Grief is often hidden behind closed doors, tears are suppressed and we are left alone in our pain and sorrow. But our ancestors left us stories that carry medicine to hold us, to nurture us and to brings us back into life after heartbreak and loss. I am sharing one of these stories here, an old Irish tale called Mis and Dubh Ruis. It's a story of grief & romance and it's the story of a poet and harpist. In that spirit I will also play the harp for you afterwards, taking you on a journey of connecting to your body, hearing the medicine of the past and feeling the music to soothe you. As we move into autumn, nature's cycles can confront us with loss and can reawaken grief in us. I hope this episode is helping you to connect deeper to your own emotions and ancient healing wisdom. Finding Your Voice: How to Express Your Feelings & Needs

In this episode we explore what happens when we begin to speak from the heart by becoming more aware of our feelings, our needs and what is truly important to us. Drawing on the principles of nonviolent communication, I look at how feelings can guide is towards our needs and why expressing what we feel and need can sometimes be so difficult. What keeps us silent? What makes us speak in a critical and judgemental way and what helps us to be soft but effective in our communication? If you want to dive deeper into this topic, in my live course Women Who Sing Themselves Home, beginning October 7, we explore our voice and expression and reconnecting with our inner knowing. What Is Your Body Trying to Tell You?

Our bodies are constantly communicating to us, through sensations, emotions and subtle signals. But do we take the time to listen? In this episode, we explore how we can become more attuned to the signals our body is giving us and begin to understand what they might be telling us. Using Chinese medicine, we look at how certain meridians are connected with emotions and stress, and explore ways of working with them to release stored emotions. There are also little moments of grounding and de-stressing throughout the episode. I hope this inspires you to connect more deeply with the incredible intelligence of your own body. If you want to connect deeper to your body and learn to build the safety to express yourself more freely, I invite you into my new course "Women who sing themselves home". What Happens When You Keep Things Inside?

The things we don't say simply don't disappear. They become tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, a knot in the stomach and sleepless nights. In this episode we explore what happens when we hold back what we think, feel and really want to say. Where this shows up in the body and how we can begin to work with these tensions. Speaking your truth isn't as simple as "just saying it". Before we can say it the body often needs to feel safe enough to do so. We will explore the connection between expression, tension, safety and truth. If you want to go deeper into working with your body to create safety to express yourself more freely, I invite you into my upcoming course "Women who sing themselves home".
