    192. Reclaim Your Body After Trauma (part 2)

This isn’t about shrinking your body — it’s about coming home to it.  Your body isn’t the problem.  Your relationship with your body — shaped by trauma, diet culture, and survival — is. As a kid, you likely learned that your size, shape, or weight (and the need to control them) became a way to earn safety, love, or approval.  It’s how you felt “good enough.”  But this keeps our worth and feeling valuable attached to a metric, instead of it being an innate birthright. This is a huge part of why we want fast results – we’re trying to hurry up so we can feel ‘good enough.’  Keep listening as I explore how to untangle the nuanced relationship with our bodies (and food) in a healthy way that supports your mental and emotional health.  Ready to Conquer the Craving Cycle?! It’s time to decode the urge, untangle the pattern, and finally learn how to respond differently.  This isn’t about willpower. And it’s not about “trying harder.” It’s about understanding why a specific urge takes over — and learning how to meet that moment differently next time. 189. What Actually Changes Inside 'The Reclaiming'

One of the biggest reasons I've become a life coach myself is because I've seen how it's completely transformed my life.  ☑️ My relationship with food and body.  ☑️ My emotional awareness and capacity to feel ANY emotion. ☑️ My self awareness, reflection, and ability to learn from missed expectations.  ☑️ My ability to own my emotions and actions, and not take on those of people around me.  And most importantly: ☑️ Truly changing how I see myself – what I call my 'self concept.' After any type of trauma or abuse, it's essnetial we rebuild how we see ourselves, so that we can let go of all the negative and abusive thoughts from others.  This creates your foundation for change.  And this is exactly the type of work we're doing inside The Reclaiming.  Today's episode dives deeper into what changes you can expect after working with me in private coaching or in The Reclaiming group program.  To learn more about the group, visit the info page here: https://www.bodyyoucrave.com/reclaim  And when you're ready to explore working together, schedule your free consultation and we'll talk more about what's truly standing in your way and how to overcome it this year.  www.bodyyoucrave.com/schedule Chapters (00:00:02) - Hungry for Love(00:00:24) - What Actually Changes With Coaching(00:01:50) - What Changes When You Work With Me?(00:06:36) - Why Your Self- Worth Has Been So Dependent on the Scale(00:13:45) - What Are the Thoughts That We Take On as Truth?(00:19:00) - How to Stop Emotional Eating(00:26:52) - Narcotics: Fear of the Scale(00:32:16) - How to Reclaim Your Body(00:36:07) - Breaking the Cycle: How to Crave Your Body

    187. Staying Committed Without Relying on Willpower

The #1 emotion to create any result… commitment.   Stay with me now. I’ve struggled myself with this being the answer and I want to offer a different way of looking at commitment.  Not just when things are going well and you’re succeeding, but commitment in the hard times, after the setbacks, after the binge, after the scale not moving for a month.  This is when we dig deeper and find the conviction to keep going, no matter what.  Keep listening as I share more of what this looks like in practice, and why it can also feel like a very triggering topic.  When you’re ready to create a new relationship with food, alcohol, your body, your past, and your power…  It’s time for The Reclaiming – a small group coaching program to help you lose weight and feel amazing in your body, after trauma and abuse. This is where survival ends and self-leadership begins. Stop circling the same patterns and finally move forward, The Reclaiming is your next step.
