The Bible Top Ten Podcast

Matt and Rocky do a great job of combining really interesting commentaries along with occasional hysterical lists to create their top ten each episode. My favorite is the translations of the Bible episode (Oct. 2022), but “things we love about the Christmas story” and “women of the Bible” (Oct 2023) were especially interesting. And the offbeat ones are so entertaining: conspiracy theories, worst baby names, and basketball players kept me laughing.

I started listening as a curiosity because I am a member of Fourth Church in Chicago but have added it to my regular rotation of podcasts. Matt and Rocky find just the right mix of solemnity and levity on the topics they choose and way they engage with the Bible. Because, real talk, there’s some weird stuff in that book. Whether you are all in, all in but mostly for the hymns, “chreaster,” questioning your faith or just Bible curious, you will enjoy your time with these two. It is a good way to connect with your faith between Sundays while washing the dishes or doing laundry.
