Abortion Isn’t the Root Problem. Worldview Is | Scott Klusendorf

The abortion debate is ultimately a worldview debate: What is a human being? Where does human value come from? Who is God? What is freedom? And is morality objectively true, or something we construct for ourselves? In this episode, Scott talks to Scott, and the second Scott is none other than esteemed pro-life apologist Scott Klusendorf, bestselling author of The Case for Life. Together, they unpack the competing worldviews behind abortion and explore why defending unborn life is an essential part of Christian discipleship and the Great Commission. We explore how naturalism, postmodernism, and the biblical worldview lead to radically different conclusions about human dignity, truth, morality, choice, and the right to life. We also discuss the state of the pro-life movement after Roe v. Wade, the debate between incrementalism and abortion abolitionism, the role of the Church, and how Christians can make a clear and persuasive case for life in our current cultural moment. Who is the Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Since 1997, DNA’s mission has been to equip followers of Jesus around the globe with a biblical worldview, empowering them to build flourishing families, communities, and nations. 👉 https://disciplenations.org/ 🎙️Featured Guest:  Scott Klusendorf travels throughout the United States and Canada training pro-life advocates to persuasively defend their views in the public square. He contends that the pro-life message can compete in the marketplace of ideas if properly understood and properly articulated. Scott has debated or lectured to student groups at over 80 colleges and universities, including Stanford, USC, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, Loyola Marymount Law School, West Virginia Medical School, MIT, U.S. Air Force Academy, Cal-Tech, UC Berkeley, and University of North Carolina. Raise Culture Makers, Not Culture Survivors | Brett Kunkle

Who will disciple whom? How can we raise our children to be culture shapers, not conformers? Who is discipling the next generation? Because someone is. And right now, smartphones, social media, and secular culture are shaping our kids for hours every day. How do we raise young Christians who will influence the world toward God’s truth, goodness, and beauty, who will disciple the world rather than simply be discipled by it? Brett Kunkle, co-founder and president of MAVEN, joins us to talk about raising the next generation with a strong biblical worldview, young Christians who actually know what they believe and live it out. We talk about Christian parenting, technology and social media, apologetics, why young people are leaving the church, and why discipleship can’t stop at a private faith. If Christianity is true, it should shape the way we think about every area of life and culture. How do we prepare the next generation not just to survive a secular culture, but to faithfully influence it? Who is the Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Since 1997, DNA’s mission has been to equip followers of Jesus around the globe with a biblical worldview, empowering them to build flourishing families, communities, and nations. 👉 https://disciplenations.org/ 🎙️Featured Guest:  Brett Kunkle is the co-founder and president of MAVEN, a movement equipping the next generation to know truth, pursue goodness, and create beauty. Sex, Marriage, & Children: What the Sexual Revolution Tore Apart | Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse

Episode Summary: The Sexual Revolution didn’t just loosen society’s rules around sex. It fundamentally changed what our culture believes sex is for, what marriage and gender mean, and what children are owed. This week, we sit down with Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, founder of the Ruth Institute, economist, and author of The Sexual State, to trace the ideas that brought us to where we are today. Dr. Morse expertly walks us through three interconnected ideologies at the heart of the Sexual Revolution: contraception ideology, which separates sex from children; divorce ideology, which separates children from the lifelong union of their parents; and gender ideology, which separates personal identity from their biological sex. But this conversation isn't only about what went wrong. We discuss the often-overlooked human cost of these ideas, especially for children, and why Christians need to offer something better than opposition. What is the better story of sex, marriage, family, and the human body? And how can the Church obey its God-given mandate and build a culture marked by truth, goodness, beauty, and love? Who is the Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Since 1997, DNA’s mission has been to equip followers of Jesus around the globe with a biblical worldview, empowering them to build flourishing families, communities, and nations. 👉 https://disciplenations.org/ 🎙️Featured Guest:  Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse is the founder of the Ruth Institute, an international coalition dedicated to defending the family and addressing the harms of the Sexual Revolution. Dr. Morse has authored or co-authored six books and spoken around the world on marriage, family, and sexual ethics. We Can Put the Bible Back in Public Education | Nate Lundquist

Episode Summary: Is public education really neutral? I think we all know the answer to that question now. Emmy and Dove Award-winning filmmaker Nate Lundquist, creator of the documentary Off School Property, joins us to challenge the myth of neutrality in public education and reveal a path to put the Bible back in front of public school students across America. Every education system teaches a worldview. Students are being taught answers to life’s biggest questions about truth, meaning, morality, human identity, and freedom, whether we recognize it or not. We explore how secularism has shaped American public schools, the difference between science and scientism, the Bible’s influence on Western civilization, and why a biblical worldview provides the foundation for human dignity, equality, freedom, and progress that our culture often takes for granted. Then we turn to a fascinating movement happening in public education today that you need to know about: LifeWise Academy. Nate explains how released-time religious instruction allows students to receive Bible education during the public school day as long as it takes place off school property, is privately funded, and has parental permission. Listen in and discover how you can help put biblical education back within reach of public school students across America. Who is the Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? From Changed Hearts to Changed Nations | A Christian’s Purpose

Episode Summary: The Great Commission is about more than making converts; it’s about discipling entire nations. That's your purpose. God’s plan for transforming a broken world begins with changed hearts, but it doesn’t end there. In this episode, Scott, Nelson, and Luke unpack the biblical “theory of change” behind Disciple Nations Alliance: changed hearts lead to renewed minds, transformed lives, flourishing families, healthy communities, and ultimately changed nations. They explore why evangelism is essential but incomplete without discipleship, and why Christians need a biblical worldview that shapes not only what they believe, but how they live in every area of life. Along the way, they challenge the sacred-secular divide that has convinced many Christians that pastors, missionaries, and evangelists are doing the “real” work of God’s Kingdom while plumbers, bankers, artists, parents, business owners, and teachers are simply passing the time or earning a living. Instead, Scripture gives Christians a much bigger vision: every area of life belongs to Christ. Our work, families, churches, education, economics, government, art, and culture all matter to God. The Bible has something to say about all of them. Using our new short animated training video, From Changed Hearts to Changed Nations: A Christian’s Purpose, as a guide, we explore what it really means to fulfill the Great Commission, develop a biblical worldview, renew the Christian mind, disciple the nations, and live out the Gospel in everyday life. You have a role to play in God’s mission of restoration, and it may begin much closer to home than you think and go much further than you can imagine. Who is the Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Your Work Is Part of God’s Mission. Do You Agree? | Bob Varney

Episode Summary: You can believe God cares about your life and still live like He clocks out when you walk into the office on Monday. For many Christians, our unseen sacred-secular divide is so deeply ingrained that faith becomes something we practice at church, while work, business, and everyday life operate by a different set of rules. Dr. Bob Varney joins us to expose that divide and explore what it looks like to live with an integrated biblical worldview where discipleship reaches every part of life. Bob brings a unique perspective as a computer scientist, technology entrepreneur, and former senior leader with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru). In this discussion, he shares how a business crisis forced him to rethink the relationship between faith and work. We explore practical ways to practice the presence of God, build Christ-honoring workplace cultures, glorify God through our gifts, and replace fear with small acts of faithful obedience. If you want to understand how a biblical worldview transforms the way you work, lead, serve, and engage culture, this conversation is for you. Who is the Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? The Church Has Shrunken Discipleship. Jesus Didn't | Scott, Nelson, & Luke

Episode Summary: What happens when most Christians have a definition of discipleship that's too small? For many believers, discipleship means Bible studies, church programs, quiet times, or spiritual disciplines. While all of these are important, what if they're only part of the picture? In this episode, Scott, Nelson, and Luke explore the most common definitions of discipleship, affirm what's right about each one, and explain what's missing. They argue that many Christians have unintentionally reduced discipleship to a handful of spiritual activities, leaving the Church with a fragmented vision of following Jesus and the Great Commission. More importantly, they present a fuller vision of discipleship, one that extends into every area of life. They explain why Jesus' command to "make disciples of all nations" only makes sense when we recover a robust understanding of what discipleship really is. Fragmented ideas about discipleship produce fragmented consequences for the Kingdom. In this episode: The difference between a disciple and discipleshipWhy discipleship is about every area of life, not just "spiritual" lifeHow the sacred-secular divide has shaped modern ChristianityWhy information alone doesn't produce transformationHow a biblical understanding of discipleship can transform individuals, churches, communities, and even nationsIf Jesus has authority over all things, then discipleship must include all things. This conversation will challenge you to rethink one of Christianity's most familiar words and recover a vision of discipleship that extends far beyond Sunday morning.
