#57 Back Pain, Motherhood and the Weight We Carry

This conversation begins with back pain that started during pregnancy and continued long after the birth. As we explore what has been happening physically, a deeper experience begins to emerge: the weight of motherhood, the loss of freedom, the discomfort of depending on others and the pressure to keep carrying on without complaint. We look at the relationship between physical tension and the thoughts of frustration, control and self-judgement that can run quietly throughout the day. We also explore what becomes possible when we step back from those thoughts, find the centre beneath the competing demands and allow ourselves to receive more support. A conversation about motherhood, vulnerability, flexibility and the weight we carry, both physically and emotionally. #56 Allergic to the Sun: Skin Reactions, Boundaries and Being Seen

In this episode of The Healing Point Podcast, Tracey explores a woman’s experience of being allergic to the sun, alongside a long history of eczema, skin sensitivity and seasonal reactions. What begins as a conversation about the skin opens into a deeper enquiry around sensitivity, boundaries, suppressed anger, shame and the fear of being seen. As the conversation unfolds, links begin to emerge between early childhood, being the quiet eldest child, feeling overlooked, keeping the peace, and learning to hold emotion inside. Together, they explore the skin as a boundary between the inner and outer world, and how a physical reaction can begin to reveal the part of us that still feels embarrassed, judged or exposed. The sun becomes a powerful metaphor in this conversation. It represents brightness, vitality, expression and the desire to be out in life. Yet for this woman, the sun also awakens an old pattern of hiding, covering up and fearing what others might see. This episode is an invitation to listen to the body with more curiosity and compassion, and to wonder what the skin may be speaking on behalf of a part of the self that has stayed quiet for a very long time. #55 The Pain Moved From My Womb to My Throat | Endometriosis, Thyroid Symptoms & Suppressed Anger

In this deeply honest conversation, a woman shares her experience of symptoms that seem to move through her body. What began as severe period pain and a possible endometriosis diagnosis eventually disappeared… only for thyroid pain and pressure in her chest to appear almost immediately afterwards. For five years, she has managed her symptoms through food, sleep, supplements and lifestyle changes. Yet the pain continues to return in different forms, leaving her questioning why her body keeps shifting the location of her discomfort. As we explore further, a deeper pattern begins to emerge. Together, we uncover a long-standing pattern of suppressing emotions, carefully managing how she speaks, and holding in frustration to avoid conflict. We explore how childhood experiences of emotional silence shaped her relationship with anger, expression and being heard. #54 Misophonia: Why Certain Sounds Trigger Rage

In this conversation, we explore misophonia — a condition where everyday sounds can trigger intense emotional and physical reactions. Dogs barking. Neighbours moving furniture. People talking. For some, these sounds don’t just irritate…they create rage, tension, and a nervous system response that feels impossible to control. So what is misophonia really? Is it just sound sensitivity… or is something deeper being activated? In this session, we look beyond the noise. We explore: • why certain sounds trigger anger and overwhelm • how the nervous system learns to react • the link between past experiences and present triggers • why the reaction feels automatic • and how awareness creates space between sound and response At first, it looks like the sound is the problem. But as we go deeper, a different picture begins to emerge. Because sometimes the thing we are trying to escape… is already living inside us. #53 Herpes: The Hidden Story Behind an Outbreak

In this deeply honest conversation, our speaker reflects on the emotional landscape surrounding a herpes diagnosis. Rather than viewing a virus purely as a physical event, this episode explores it as a moment of transition. In nature, viruses introduce change. They interrupt equilibrium and invite adaptation. From this perspective, the body’s response can be seen as arising at a point where something within life, identity, or relationship needed to shift. Together, we explore the timing of the symptom in the context of intimacy, stress, boundaries, and self-worth. The dialogue opens up a compassionate enquiry into how moments of vulnerability, relational tension, or inner conflict can shape the internal climate of the nervous system and find expression through the skin. This episode offers a gentle reframe. The focus moves away from pathology and toward meaning, inviting a deeper understanding of what the body may be bringing to the surface when change is underway. A conversation about transition, identity, and the intelligence of the body during times of emotional evolution. #52 How One Shift in Perspective Changed Chronic Neck Pain

Neck pain is often blamed on posture, screens, and stress. But sometimes the body is responding to something far deeper. In this episode, Tracey explores how chronic neck tension was connected to living in obligation, emotional control, and the fear of choosing oneself. As the conversation unfolds, awareness shifts around family patterns, responsibility for others’ emotions, and the moment of reclaiming personal power. What happens next is extraordinary. The body responds in real time. This episode is a powerful reminder that when perspective changes, the nervous system softens and the body follows. If you’ve ever felt trapped in a situation, torn between duty and authenticity, or held tension you can’t seem to release, this conversation will resonate deeply. #51 When the Body Calls You Inwards

In this episode, Tracey explores the deeper meaning behind hormonal symptoms, hair loss, dry eyes, and long-standing digestive issues with a woman who has lived for years with a PCOS diagnosis that never quite reflected her lived experience. What begins as a conversation about physical symptoms gently opens into a deeper enquiry. Together, they explore how stress, contraction, self-judgement, and identity shape the body over time. As the conversation unfolds, the focus moves from symptom-solving to observing the mind. Patterns of future thinking, inner commentary, and self-perception are revealed as forces that influence the nervous system and the flow of energy. Through presence and awareness, the guest touches a profound moment of stillness and relief, meeting a quieter place beneath identity, labels, and self-image. This episode invites a return to stillness beneath diagnosis, where clarity, ease, and a deeper sense of self emerge. A conversation about listening to the body as a guide back to inner peace and trust. #50 Circulation and the Fear of Being Seen

In this episode, I speak with a woman who received unexpected MRI results showing changes in her brain linked to circulation and neurological risk. What begins as a conversation about symptoms and fear slowly opens into a much deeper exploration of adoption, childhood anxiety, and the quiet ways we learn to pull back from life in order to feel safe. We trace the roots of contraction back to early experiences of emotional pressure, suppressed anger, and learning to stay small. Together, we explore how withdrawal becomes a lifelong pattern, how fear tightens the body, and how circulation mirrors our relationship with expression, visibility, and self-trust. This is a conversation about returning to the body after years of holding in. About reconnecting with the part of self that once moved freely, expressed openly, and felt safe to take up space. It shows how awareness softens fear, how old survival strategies release their grip, and how life begins to flow again when we choose movement over protection and presence over retreat.
