Bierkergaard: The Writings of Soren Kierkegaard

I enjoyed the rambling. It’s nice to hear someone else’s mind pour out like that. I never get the chance to do or hear someone else do that. Thank you. I’m fully enjoying hearing about yours and Soren’s life. Your pains remind a lot of my own.

Hey, as I mentioned in my podcast, this is new to me and I am on the learning curve as of mid-April 2022. I will figure it out in due time. Your critique seems a tad unfair and premature. I am about a month and change in thus far. I am attempting to calibrate the balance among Soren’s writings, others’ thoughts about his writings, and my own take on them. It isn’t as easy as it looks. And, as I mentioned in one of my early podcasts, it is much safer and more ethical to share my own experiences rather than perhaps retell others’ if that information is not out in the public domain. So, my take will always be a part of this podcast. Take it or leave it. That is the way that it is. I don’t know what else to say. As far as rambling, I assume you have read Soren. We share that trait in common. What you find irritating, others may find amusing and informative. I never want to lose that spontaneous piece. Sometimes the ramblings lead to dead ends. Sometimes they lead to interesting and worthwhile vantage points, vistas, and views. It is part of the process. Unless you want scripted garbage 100% which runs counter to Soren’s spirit. I am confident of that. I will work on sticking more to a point. My goal is keep Soren front and center but there are times that will skew either by intention or my own imperfect rendering of his work and my reflection on it. So, if ain’t your cup of tea, that’s cool. Move on. I am the ONLY person on podcast platforms presently doing a podcast focusing on the writings of Soren, in English at least. That gives me a certain first-mover advantage. If it was easy, I am sure someone else would have stepped up to the plate already. That others didn’t is proof enough that taking on Soren is a task requiring faith and perseverance. All good things in life like this are hard. Enough said.
