Perhaps consider interviewing the people who are often the first to awaken the love of reading: English teachers. Middle school. High School. Lots of undersung heroes out there. Also-would suggest Katie be kinder and less insulting to her father. Our parents are only with us so long. The near constant mean teasing is tiresome.
