Taking the 10/21/2026 episode discussing empathy as an example of the show’s general trend, Jen appears to be completely devoid of objectivity and, while not true on her other show, seems to cherry pick the sourcing for her arguments in order to support her socio-political leanings.
Her opinion on Gad Saad is ridiculous and appears to be based on superficial commentary (e.g. Rolling Stone, etc), rather than his easily accessible history, bio (Lebanese Jewish refugee), peer-review publications, etc. She goes so far as to denigrate him for his public commentary on Omar Khadr who, for the record, was responsible for the death/murder of a US soldier in Afghanistan, previously resided (along with his family - father was a long-time member of al-Qa’ida) with UBL, and ‘confessed’ to his ‘crime’ freely (not to mention the multiple witnesses present during the incident). Further, he was given millions of dollars by the Canadian government, who went so far as to do so in a manner that would allow Khadr to shield the money from the US court-ordered compensation owed to the victims of his crimes.
Finally, why do an episode on the topic of empathy framed around Saad’s book without a single host having actually read the book?! To then make judgements about Saad’s motivations or intent is intellectually dishonest and is (or was in previous episodes) beneath them.
Too bad it’s slipped from the kind of show it used to be.
