    🎧 Episode 219: Mid-Summer Reset

Life Doesn't Always Go According to Plan  Can you believe we're already halfway through July?  Summer has a funny way of speeding by. One minute we're making plans, creating goals, and thinking about all the things we're finally going to accomplish. The next, we're wondering where the time has gone.  Maybe you had plans to organize a room, tackle a home project, or create new routines this summer.  Or maybe, like so many of us, life simply had other plans.  In this episode, I'm sharing why the middle of July is one of my favorite times to pause and reflect. The third quarter of the year is here, and instead of feeling behind or overwhelmed, I want to encourage you to think about this season as an opportunity for a reset.  Because here's the truth:  You don't need to start over.  You simply need to take the next step.  I also share a personal story about our family's unexpected summer detour—finding out that one of my daughters needs to have all four of her wisdom teeth removed this summer. Definitely not something we had planned, but it was such a good reminder that life doesn't always follow our perfectly organized schedules.  And that's okay.  Organizing isn't about perfection.  It's about learning to pivot, adjust, and create systems that support us through every season of life.  In This Episode, You'll Learn:  ✨ Why summer doesn't always go according to plan  ✨ How to revisit the goals you set back in January  ✨ Why celebrating small wins matters  ✨ How to reset before the busy fall season arrives  ✨ Why it's okay to pivot when life changes  ✨ One simple exercise to help you move forward with intention  This Week's Challenge  Take a few quiet minutes this week and ask yourself:  What is one thing I'm proud of accomplishing this year? What is one thing I'd still like to accomplish before the end of the year? What is one small action I can take this week? Remember, one small step can create a lot of momentum.  Resources Mentioned  ✨ Take the How Organized Are You? 🎧 Episode 218: Can AI Really Help You Get Organized?

The Pros, the Cons, and Why People Still Matter  Artificial Intelligence seems to be everywhere these days.  From meal planning and grocery lists to vacation itineraries and daily schedules, AI is changing the way many of us work and manage our homes.  But can it actually help you become more organized?  Or does it simply create more information—and more overwhelm?  In this episode, we're having a relaxed coffee chat about one of today's hottest topics. I'll share how I personally use AI in my business, how some of my clients are using it to simplify everyday life, and why I believe technology should support us—not replace the human connection.  As professional organizers, we don't just organize spaces.  We listen.  We ask questions.  We create customized systems that reflect the people living in the home.  That's something no technology can ever fully replace.  In This Episode You'll Learn  Practical ways AI can help simplify everyday life How families are using AI for meal planning, grocery lists, and travel planning Why too much information can create mental clutter The difference between having a plan and taking action Why personalized organizing systems are still essential How professional organizers bring empathy, accountability, and real-life solutions to every project This Week's Organizing Challenge  Choose one repetitive task you've been putting off.  Ask AI to help you create a simple plan—whether it's a meal plan, grocery list, packing checklist, or weekly schedule.  Then spend 15 minutes putting that plan into action by organizing one small space in your home.  Remember...  Technology can provide ideas.  But action creates change.  Continue Your Organizing Journey  Fresh Start Coaching Program  Looking for personalized support, accountability, and organizing systems designed specifically for your home? 🎧 Episode 217: Summer Reset

When Summer Starts Feeling a Little Too Full  The other day I walked into my laundry room and wondered how there could possibly be that many towels.  Beach towels.  Pool towels.  Bath towels.  Somehow, summer had officially arrived.  Not because of the calendar, but because the routines that worked a month ago suddenly weren't working anymore.  If you've been feeling like you're falling behind, you're not alone.  In this episode, we're talking about why summer often requires a reset, how to recognize when your systems need adjusting, and the simple shifts that can help you move through the second half of summer with more ease and less overwhelm.  As we celebrate Independence Day and America's 250th anniversary, it's also the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and appreciate the progress you've made so far this year.  Because organizing isn't about perfection.  It's about creating systems that support the life you're living right now.  In This Episode You'll Learn:  Why summer doesn't always feel the way we expected The hidden clutter of decision fatigue Why systems matter more than motivation Four areas to evaluate before fall arrives How small changes create lasting momentum Quote From This Episode  "You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems."  — James Clear  Resources Mentioned  If you have been thinking about starting a newsletter or simplifying your emails, you can try it and receive 25 percent off your first year. 🎧 Episode 216: Now the Real Summer Begins

Now the Real Summer Begins  I don’t know about you, but June always feels like the transition month.  And then suddenly…  July shows up,  the heat gets stronger,  the routines disappear,  July 4th is around the corner,  and summer starts feeling very real.  In this week’s episode of Organizing with Ease, we’re talking about how to support your home — and yourself — as we move into the heart of summer.  Not perfectly.  Not with pressure.  But realistically.  Because summer homes function differently.  The towels multiply.  The refrigerator somehow empties faster.  Beach bags stay out.  People snack constantly.  The kitchen never fully closes.  And honestly?  That’s summer.  Inside this episode we’re talking about:  mid-summer home resets  refreshing your kitchen and refrigerator  patio spaces & summer entertaining  creating a simple summer bar cart or beverage station  July 4th prep without the overwhelm  Florida heat & summer home maintenance  hurricane season preparedness  and why summer systems matter more than perfection.  We’re also talking about:  slowing down  simpler summer hosting  softer expectations  and creating a home that actually supports the season you’re living in.  One of my favorite reminders from this episode comes from Shauna Niequist:  “Present over perfect.”  And honestly?  That may be the energy we all need this summer.  Because the most meaningful moments usually happen:  around patio tables  with music playing softly  cold drinks in hand  pool towels drying outside  and nowhere important to rush off to for a little while.  Your home does not need to be perfect to hold beautiful memories.  In This Episode You’ll Hear:  Mid-summer reset ideas  Summer kitchen organization tips  Patio & outdoor refresh ideas  Creating a summer beverage station or bar cart  July 4th preparation made easier  Florida heat & home maintenance reminders  Hurricane preparedness tips  Why simpler summer systems work better  Letting go of perfection during busy seasons  And remember friend…  Summer is supposed to feel lived in.  Progress over perfection.  Little by little, step by step.  If you have been thinking about starting a newsletter or simplifying your emails, you can try it and receive 25 percent off your first year. 🎧 Episode 215 The Hidden Clutter of Summer Expectations

Summer is supposed to feel lighter… But somehow it can quickly turn into: unfinished projectscamp packing travel prep  overflowing schedules emotional overwhelm home office clutter and pressure to “make the most” of the season. In this week’s episode of Organizing with Ease, we’re talking about the hidden clutter of summer — not just the physical clutter, but the emotional clutter and mental overload that quietly builds during this season. Because sometimes the heaviest clutter isn’t sitting on the counter. It’s: expectation clutter schedule clutter project pressure emotional overwhelm and trying to hold everything together while also wanting to enjoy summer. Inside this episode: why summer starts feeling overwhelming camp packing, unpacking & transition clutter writing things down to reduce mental overload summer home office resets unfinished projects & “maybe piles” emotional clutter during busy seasons and why softer expectations may actually create a calmer summer. We’re also talking about: creating simple summer lists reducing mental tabs open in your head realistic organizing during summer transitions and why not every pile means failure. One of my favorite reminders from this episode comes from Shauna Niequist: “Present over perfect.” And another beautiful reminder from Anne Lamott: “Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” If summer has already started feeling heavier than expected, this episode will help you slow down, soften expectations, and create more breathing room in the season you’re already living in. In This Episode You’ll Hear: The hidden emotional clutter of summer Why summer often becomes another productivity season Camp packing & unpacking tips Summer planning lists that reduce stress Home office clutter during summer routines Why writing things down helps mental overwhelm Softer summer systems for real life Why maintenance is still progress Letting go of perfection this season  Summer Simplified Workshop ☀️ If this episode resonates with you, I’d love to invite you to my FREE live workshop: Summer Simplified June 23rd at 11:00 AM We’ll talk about: realistic summer systems reducing overwhelm organizing routines that work in real life and creating a summer that feels lighter and easier instead of chaotic. Save your free spot here: Click Here to Register Now And remember friend… Not every season requires reinvention. 🎧 Episode 214 Making Summer Feel Easier at Home

Summer has a different rhythm.  Beach towels pile up.  People come and go.  Schedules shift.  The dishwasher somehow never stops running.  And honestly?  That’s normal.  In this week’s episode of Organizing with Ease, we’re talking about how to make summer feel lighter at home without turning your house into another overwhelming project.  Because summer doesn’t need:  more pressure  more perfection  or another full home overhaul.  Instead, we’re focusing on:  simple summer systems  light resets  reducing visual clutter  easy entertaining  and creating a home that supports the season you’re in.  Inside this episode:  why summer homes naturally function differently  creating a simple “summer drop zone”  lighter maintenance routines that actually help  how visual clutter impacts mental overwhelm  and why not every pile is a “doom pile.”  One of my favorite reminders from this episode:  “Your home should support your summer, not control it.”  And another:  “Sometimes maintenance is enough.”  Summer Simplified Workshop ☀️  If this episode resonates with you, I’d love to invite you to my FREE live workshop:  Summer Simplified  June 23rd at 11:00 AM  We’ll talk about:  realistic summer systems  reducing overwhelm  and creating a summer that feels lighter and easier instead of chaotic.Click Here to Register Now Progress over perfection, friend.  Little by little, step by step.  If you have been thinking about starting a newsletter or simplifying your emails, you can try it and receive 25 percent off your first year. Episode 213 Summer Travel Without the Chaos

Summer Travel Without the Chaos: Organizing for Weekend Getaways, Road Trips & Real-Life Summer Travel  Summer travel is supposed to feel exciting… but sometimes the packing, planning, laundry, and unpacking can feel more overwhelming than the trip itself.  In this week’s episode of Organizing with Ease, we’re talking about realistic travel organization for real life — from spontaneous beach days and weekend getaways to road trips, plane travel, domestic vacations, and international travel preparation.  Because organizing for travel isn’t about perfection.  It’s about creating systems that reduce friction before, during, and after the trip.  Inside this episode:  how to prepare for spontaneous summer moments  creating simple grab-and-go travel systems  road trip organization tips  domestic vs. international packing  travel apps that help simplify planning  reducing overpacking and decision fatigue  how to reset your home before leaving  why unpacking within 24–48 hours matters  and how small systems make returning home feel calmer and easier  We’re also talking about:  rising gas prices and changing travel habits  the emotional and mental load of travel prep  why lighter luggage creates lighter travel  and how organizing supports flexibility, not perfection  One of my favorite reminders from this episode: Good organizing systems don’t eliminate spontaneity. They actually create more room for it.  If summer has already started feeling busy, overwhelming, or chaotic, this episode will help you create simple travel systems that support the season you’re in.  In This Episode You’ll Hear:  Why summer travel looks different for many families right now  How to organize for spontaneous weekend trips  The beach bag system that reduces last-minute stress  Travel tips for road trips, flights, and international vacations  What to do before leaving your home  Why returning home to a reset space matters  The “24–48 Hour Unpacking Rule”  The difference between “doom piles” and “maybe piles”  Why systems reduce friction during travel season  Helpful Apps Mentioned:  PackPoint  TripIt  GasBuddy  Waze  Google Translate  Google Flights  Summer Simplified Workshop ☀️  If today’s episode resonated with you, I’d love to invite you to my FREE live workshop:  Summer Simplified  June 23rd at 11:00 AM  We’ll talk about:  realistic summer systems  reducing overwhelm  organizing routines that work in real life  and creating a summer that feels lighter and easier instead of chaotic.  Save your free spot here And remember friend…  Progress over perfection.
