    EP 207 - How to Run a Drama Free Short Form Video Content Experiment

    In my final episode of the "Fall in Love with Short Form Video" series, I'm sharing exactly how to experiment with short form content strategically. You don't have to spend a bunch of energy on video content and just randomly hope something sticks. Most experiments fail miserably because people aren't actually experiementing at all, they're just being inconsistent. They change everything at once. Scrapping the format, topic, hook, editing every time gives you absolutely no data to learn from. There's no baseline, no timeline, and no clear understanding of what you can actually control. The Framework I Use: Define Your Experiment Window Choose a timeline: 14 days for quick signal testing, 30 days for pattern clarity I recommend 30 days with at least 10 videos—enough data to truly understand what's working Only Change 1-2 Variables This is the core principle: if you change everything, you learn nothing I break down three types of variables you can test: Format-based: length, style (talking head vs. voiceover), platform format Topic-based: category focus, audience angle, stage of awareness Message-based: hooks, story structure, script flow What I Typically Experiment With: Hook type (this is my go-to) Category focus or audience angle Story structure and pacing Your Next Steps: Record a reintroduction video to pin to your profile Complete a 5-video series in one week (goal: just finish it, no pressure on metrics) Choose ONE experiment for the next 30 days with a clear, measurable goal The truth is, no one is watching as closely as you think. They're not auditing your strategy or tracking your experiment. You're the only one who knows this is an experiment. And "failing" content is still data that teaches you something. I used this exact process to gain 1,000 followers on TikTok in 30 days with multiple videos hitting 400,000+ views. It works when you commit to the process.     EP 206 - Stop Overthinking Your Video Setup: A Simple Guide to Polished Content

    This is the third episode in my series on falling in love with short form video, and today we're diving into the question everyone's been waiting for: how do I make my videos actually look good? I'm breaking down everything from filming locations to finding your signature style. These are the exact questions I've been answering for clients for over a year now, and I'm sharing all the systems we've built at my agency to help you create polished content without overthinking it. Content studios work great if video is a primary growth channel and you have a solid batching system. But honestly? Filming at home is totally viable and way more flexible. I share my exact setup with tips to create an elevated filming corner or two in your space. Because the truth is, you don't need a $20,000 setup. You just need a natural window light and your phone! The secret is layering.  Next, we'll talk about the art of b-roll. You don't need to be filming constantly in order to keep up with content. I'll share the strategy I've used as a homebody who doesn't like to spend all of her time filming while she's out with friends!   The Elevation Rule This is huge. Your videos need to be elevated in at least 1 of these 3 ways: Place intentional background, visual interest Personal Presentation outfit, hair, makeup, accessories Production lighting, camera quality, editing You don't need all three! Pick 1-2 that feel sustainable for you. And finally, we'll chat a bit about finding your signature style so people cn't help but keep coming back for me.  Video feels harder than it needs to be because we're overthinking the setup, the aesthetics, the editing.     I've been deep in analysis mode lately, studying not just my own industry but content creators across platforms, trying to understand what audiences truly want in 2026. The biggest shift I'm seeing? People aren't consuming content just for information anymore. They want information plus perspective. They want to be told what matters, what to ignore, and what deserves their energy.  In this episode, I break down the 5 things your audience actually wants to see from you in 2026. 1st is identity-confirming content. This goes beyond "five signs you're ready for X,"and actually mirrors your evolution to help them see themselves in your journey. 2nd is authority without overteaching. Your audience doesn't want more instructions; they want you to teach them how to think, not just what to do. That's what makes you irreplaceable in a world where anyone can Google a how-to guide. The 3rd thing audiences are craving is emotional certainty. People are exhausted by frantic posting, desperate Hail Mary marketing, and hot takes that are just mean-spirited. They want to follow creators whose presence feels like safety—someone who can calm their nervous system and create a space where they feel accepted, no matter how they think or behave.  4th is selective transparency without oversharing. There's a massive difference between sharing intentional behind-the-scenes decisions and just processing your emotions in public with no through line. They can spot the difference between someone crying on the internet for engagement versus someone sharing something with real depth and meaning. The goal is to be human and real without turning your platform into a chaotic emotional brain dump. Finally, your audience wants content that feels like a brand experience. They want to feel like they're entering a world, not just scrolling past a person. This means visual continuity, recurring storylines, and a clear "thing" that you're known for online. You don't need a new account, you need a new approach. When you think a new account will save you, that's just avoidance disguised as strategy.  You may be feeling like your account doesn't represent who you are now or you've got a case of algorithm resentment. People often suspect they've been "shadowbanned" when their content isn't performing.   Unfortunately, the cost of starting over is you lose that built in trust. When you go over to a new account, you're not taking the majority of your audience with you. Plus, you're losing valuable data! You may not know what to do with the data you currently have, but you can learn and it can hugely benefit yourself and your audience.  When you look at influencers and creators, they're rarely doing the same thing they were doing when they started their account. It's completely natural for your presence to evolve! The ONLY time you should switch your account is if you have a completely different niche.     EP 200 - How to Find 'Your Thing' Online in 2026

    If your audience can't really describe what you do from memory, your message is getting lost somewhere along the way. In 2026, it's time to find 'your thing,' and become unforgettable to your audience. 'Your thing' can be based in an identity, an idea, a format, or an experience. Whatever you choose should feel like a natural extension of your leadership style, not a box you get stuck in. Identity based "things" may look like the "feminine CEO," or the "celebrity of your niche." These are archetypes that your audience can automatically associate with you. An idea based approach may look more like Mel Robbins "Let Them Theory." These are ideas that you put a name to and they have the power to spread quickly, creating a shared language between you and your audience.  A format based approach makes highly binge-able content. You're creating a sense of comfort with your audience by sticking to a recognizable format. This could mean starting every video with the same hook, creating an elongated series, etc. And finally an experience based thing pulls your audience into an embodied experience with you. These can look like specific challenges you're doing with your audience or an activity like a hot girl walk that you take them on.  Going from trend following to trend setting is actually not that hard, you just have to lean in to your natural inclinations.  Connect with me:  Website Join our email list!
