They will explore Mayor Mamdani’s plan to drastically reduce overtime, which could impact their pension totals and potentially force these officers to retire to secure their financial future. Furthermore, they will discuss the ongoing decline in morale within the NYPD under Mayor Mamdani’s leadership. This decline is attributed to his anti-police rhetoric and lack of support, particularly in light of three major incidents that occurred within the first 2.5 months of his tenure.
