Follow a trio of oddballs who are more than they seem as they take a post-college road-trip to see the sights and encounter the bizarre and supernatural. “Comedy-Horrror” may be an odd genre, but it really fits this series that bungee cords between deep laughs and legit chills with aplomb. I loved Critical Bits and when they announced the finale I was so excited to hear that Joel, Shannon, and yes, even Paul, were continuing on 🎉 It was an immediate listen and I’m here to support their work as well as cheer on this talented and professional crew as they continue honing their skills. Where will we get chaos goblin energy though without Shelby? That’s where Allison comes in. Her ability to hoist Paul on his own petard is priceless and the way she brings Jamie to life is top notch. Each scene is made better with our resident 🐴 girl! Joel continues to step up his editing game with tight cuts, rich soundscapes, and high production bumper framing. That’s not even touching upon the soundtrack! The thematic elements for each character are a subtle cue but one you quickly learn the hints and come to expect them 😈🔥 Whether it’s a blessed himbo giant 👨‍🌾 or a paranoid con man with a special set of friends 🌽 who still manages to say the absolute wrong thing 😶 or even a sweet vet in training who just loves animals and wants to see the world 🥸 there’s a character you’ll love. Ever wanted to cheer on a lesbian mechanic shop couple 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 as they fight the good fight? 💅🏻 Here’s your chance, Champ 🏇 I look forward to each episode for the grossness, LGBTQIA+ love, groan inducing acronyms, and wacky antics. Can you solve Joel’s puzzle⁉️ PS: Lilith says hi and that Hot Jimmy 🌭 was… interesting.
