Hurt to Healing

Pandora Morris

Welcome to the Hurt to Healing podcast with me, Pandora Morris. I’ve been fighting an uphill battle with my mental health for years and it’s only now that I’ve started to see some glimmers of light. It’s almost unbelievable to think I am starting this podcast considering my incessant compulsions would normally try to talk me out of it. But here I am, continuing to fight my invisible bullies one day at a time.  As part of my own recovery, I’ve made it my mission to support as many of you as possible on your own healing journey. I’ll be speaking to wonderful people from all walks of life who will open up about their own invisible struggles in the hope that it will provide a bit of solace and comfort for some of you. I’ll also be speaking to leading experts and doctors about different disorders and therapies that might help each of you expand your knowledge on the world of mental health.   Visit my website www.hurttohealing.co.uk to learn more about me and the work that I do. HEALING 101: When Exercise Stops Being Healthy with Margo Steines

Today on Healing 101 I’m joined by writer and teacher Margo Steines for a conversation about something many people quietly struggle with: when movement stops being healthy and starts becoming consuming. Margo shares how what began as empowerment gradually tipped into something far more controlling, and we explore the emotional undercurrents that can sit beneath compulsive exercise - from perfectionism to trauma to the longing to feel “enough.” We also talk about how hard it can be to recognise the problem when the world applauds discipline and intensity, and what it looks like to rebuild a gentler relationship with your body after pushing it beyond its limits. A quick note before we begin: we do touch on eating disorders and injury, so please listen however feels safest for you. Thank you to Bare Biology for sponsoring this episode. HEALING 101: ADHD, Anxiety & Disordered Eating with Ro Mitchell

In today’s episode, I’m joined by Ro Mitchell for a really honest and grounding conversation about the link between ADHD, anxiety and disordered eating and the role control often plays when your mind feels chaotic or overwhelming. We talk about learning to soften the inner critic, rebuilding trust with your body, and why recovery isn’t about giving up control entirely, but about finding safer, more compassionate ways to feel secure. Ro also shares practical tools around body checking, setbacks, and how to respond kindly to yourself when things wobble. This one is gentle, validating, and full of small but powerful takeaways.
