Supernatural Season 9, Episode 2, Devil May Care recap 🚌 Abaddon is back in her favorite body, Crowley is in the dungeon, and a hunter named Tracy is making her debut on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast. Sam feels better than he has in ages, for reasons he doesn’t know about. Then Abaddon starts recruiting demons to take Hell from Crowley, and she isn’t here to negotiate. When she grabs a pair of hunters as bait, the boys walk straight into her trap. Meanwhile, back at the bunker, Kevin is alone with the King of Hell. Plus, Berly has a question: did you expect Cas to be a boxers guy? Episode Highlights: A choppy cold open, a body bag, and a familiar redhead rising out of a tubCrowley finally comes out of the trunk, and the boys’ torture plan is to ignore himAbaddon’s demon recruitment drive (RIP, Granny, with your 72 deals this year)Abaddon in a bus driver uniform, plus a busload of demon sailors, or demon seamen, if you will (how did we miss that one?!)Tracy in jorts, a rocking van, and blood splooge #73Agents Stark and Banner, and “Kevin Solo” blackmails a commanding officer with a luchador photoA poisoned ghost town, and Dean protects his nuts (briefly)Kevin vs. Crowley in the dungeon, and Crowley takes every punch as an “I love you”“Are we gonna make out, or are you trying to kill me?”Directed by Guy Norman Bee, with shots worthy of a poster: Irv leaning on his station wagon, and Abaddon pinning DeanIt plays like part two of the premiere, and some of the editing cuts are a little choppy. Berly is very hung up on Tracy, a new hunter the show seems to set up as a recurring character, and she has a theory that ties back to Chrissy’s crew from Freaks and Geeks. LA loved Kevin finally getting in on the action as the guy in the chair. Both hosts were thrown by one line from Dean about Mrs. Tran. The gore: blood splooge #73 and a very bloody Crowley. In the lore segment, LA asks whether Knights of Hell are real, via the Ars Goetia, the first section of the 17th-century Lesser Key of Solomon. It ranks 72 demons as kings, princes, dukes, marquis, earls, and presidents, each tied to a planet, plus exactly one knight: Furcas. He joined Lucifer purely for the magic and teaches philosophy, logic, and pyromancy. Berly has a theory that Supernatural swapped the king and knight ranks. LA takes on every pronunciation like a champ, and there are a lot of legions (not lesions). “You’re the perfect vessel, Dean. You give a girl all sorts of nasty ideas.” – Abaddon Your turn, hunters: Was Tracy being set up for something bigger? And what moment from Abaddon’s return made you sit up straight? BERLY'S FAVOR REQUEST: Please vote for me at https://tophost.org/2026/berly-land If I win, I will get to host (and hopefully produce) a 6 episode podcast series with iHeartRadio. While there is a cash prize, I'm honestly more excited about the opportunity to learn from people who create podcasts full-time (my dream job).
