The Everyday Saint

The Everyday Saint podcast is such a gift to the simple, everyday life. I know that I can be inspired in my faith journey with people my age in similar stages of life. It is always nice to hear words from big speakers, but Eve has a gift to find God and share His goodness right where she and other ordinary young people are at. Thank you!!

This podcast does the tremendous service of acting as a warning sign at the edge of an abyss. The Christianity to which Eve gives expression in this podcast is structured by her evident naïveté, her ignorance with regard to what it means to be typified or characterized by the Christian spirit after genuine suffering has revealed mere feminine sentimentality as insufficient for bearing one safely to harbor through the vicissitudes of life. It is in consequence of this that it can be properly said that this podcast has great potential—as a means of sparing those in search of genuine meaning and fulfillment from seeking it within the arms of Christ, conceptualized as he who says from time immemorial: “Be strong and of good [feelings]”. The only thing which tempts me to qualify my praise of the above-mentioned service which Eve is doing with this podcast is that she has not explicitly stated that the above-mentioned service she does is the service she intends to make. This temptation to qualify my praise of her work would instantly dissipate, however, if the closing line of each episode of her podcast was, “Everything which I have just said is a complete joke.”

Eve is not only such a kind and warm host, but she also unpacks so many Catholic topics that can inspire any woman striving in the faith. Simple practicals like how to read scripture to striving for deeply rooted femininity, The Everyday Saint Podcast has it all!
