Pipes and Cigars: Talking Tobacco with Russ

I first ‘met’ Russ via Facebook many, many years ago now and have met Russ twice at the Conclave of Richmond Pipe Smokers’ show when it was held at the Sutliff factory in Richmond, Virginia. I really miss them having the event at the Sutliff factory; it was a lot of fun and I hope that they bring it back soon. But I digress. Russ is a nice guy and one of the few Master Blenders alive and well today and he’s probably forgotten more about pipe tobacco than most of us even know, as the old saying goes. If you’re a fan of pipe tobacco you will enjoy this podcast. The episodes are enjoyable and informative and may even be enjoyable to people who do not smoke a pipe. Give it a listen and see if one of the few, true masters can be the Pipe Professor you’ve always wanted.

I like the show but the frequent pauses to say uh and um is anoying so I listen at 1.5 or 2.0 speed helps. i know… have a drink every time Russ says uh or um ;)
