What Do I Do When I Don’t Know What’s Next? | Richard Welsh

We often want to "sprinkle a bit of Jesus" onto our own plans, but true peace comes when we align our lives with His will. Join us as Ps. Richard unpacks why God’s plan for your life is infinitely better than anything you could design for yourself, and why we can trust the One who holds your future. ========================= WHAT DO I DO WHEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S NEXT? Romans 12:2 ESV Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Psalm 119:105 ESV Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. God often gives a lamp, not a map. GOD MAY GUIDE YOU BY CLOSING A DOOR Acts 16:6-7 ESV They went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. When they had come opposite Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit didn't allow them. A closed door is not always rejection. Sometimes it is direction. Sometimes the Lord leads you by what He will not let you do. STAY FAITHFUL IN THE UNCLEAR SEASON Acts 16:8 ESV Passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. If you do not know the next big thing, do the next faithful thing. GOD KNOWS THE NEXT STEPS Acts 16:9 ESV A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, “Come over into Macedonia and help us.” God is not confused about your next step. WHEN GOD MAKES IT CLEAR, OBEY Acts 16:10 NIV When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them. Sometimes the reason you do not get step two, is because you have not obeyed step one. SURRENDER TO GODS WILL Luke 22:42 ESV “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” One of the most common issues in following God’s guidance, is surrender. ========================= Connect with us:Web: mylifehouse.com Instagram: instagram.com/lifehouseglobal/ Facebook: facebook.com/lifehouseglobal Other Podcasts:Want to listen to our messages in other languages? Who Do You Think You Are? | Monty Plummer

The world tells us our value is based on our performance, but God calls us His masterpiece. Join us as Pastor Monty unpacks the power of identity, and learn how to stop listening to the lies of the world and start declaring God’s truth over your life! ========================== WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? Genesis 1:27,31a NLT So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (31)“Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!” Ephesians 2:10 NLT For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. GOD DESIRED US. HE WANTED TO CREATE US, AND SO HE DID Psalm 139:13-16 NLT You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.(14) Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. (15) You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. (16) You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book.Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. GOD IS OUR FATHER Luke 15:17-24 NLT When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, “At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! (18) I will go home to my father and say, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, (19) and I am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a hired servant.’” (20) So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. (21) His son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.” (22) But his father said to the servants, “Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. (23) And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, (24) for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.” So the party began. WHAT DID GOD DO? John 3:16-17 NLT For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (17) God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. Galatians 3:26 NLT For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 1:5 NLT God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD Romans 8:15 NLT So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” ========================== CONNECT GROUP QUESTIONS: How does it change how you feel about yourself to know that God calls you His "masterpiece" and says you are "very good"?In the story of the lost son, the father ran to hug him before he could even apologize. How does that change the way you think about God?Since we are adopted into God's family through Jesus, what is one "fear" you want to stop feeling so you can live like a son or daughter of God?If being a child of God is your true identity, how does that change the way you view your mistakes or failures? ========================== Connect with us:Web: mylifehouse.com Instagram: instagram.com/lifehouseglobal/ Facebook: facebook.com/lifehouseglobal Other Podcasts:Want to listen to our messages in other languages? Decisions That Matter In Life | Masashi Shibuya

The world tries to label us, but only Jesus can give us our true identity. Discover how to stop copying the world and start living as the new person God created you to be! --------------------------------------- DECISIONS THAT MATTER IN LIFE Luke 19:1-10 NIV Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. (2) A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. (3) He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. (4) So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. (5) When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” (6) So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. (7) All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.” (8) But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” (9) Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. (10) For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” LIFE STARTS TO CHANGE WITH A DECISION TO SEEK / CURIOSITYLuke 19:3-4 NIV He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. (4) So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (12) In those days when you pray, I will listen. (13) If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. (14) I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” NEW DECISION = CHANGE YOUR THINKING Luke 19:8 NIV But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Romans 12:2 NIV Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. JESUS TRANSFORMS OUR LIVES Luke 19:9-10 NIV Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. (10) For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Ezekiel 36:26 NIV I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. CONTINUAL DECISIONS TO FOLLOW JESUS 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! --------------------------------------- CONNECT GROUP QUESTIONS: What is one old thought or habit you want to replace with a new one from God? (Romans 12:2)Jesus asked Peter to show love by "feeding his sheep.” Who is one person in your life you can encourage this week? What is one practical "new decision" you can make today to move closer to the life God wants for you?Since we can go to God "boldly" for help, what is one thing our group can pray for you about today? --------------------------------------- Connect with us:Web: mylifehouse.com Instagram: instagram.com/lifehouseglobal/ Facebook: facebook.com/lifehouseglobal Other Podcasts:Want to listen to our messages in other languages? Resurrection Day - Celebration Day // Rod Plummer

The resurrection is the key to everything we believe. We don't just follow a great teacher; we serve a King who is alive today! This Easter, Pastor Rod shares how Jesus' victory over death gives us a new spirit and an incredible hope for eternity. -------------------------------------------- RESURRECTION DAY - CELEBRATION DAY Hebrews 12:2 NIV "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." RESURRECTION DAY - "A COMMUNITY OF PEACE AND JOY" John 20:19-20 NIV On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” (20) After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. RESURRECTION DAY - A NEW LIFE OF "PEACE WITH GOD" John 20:21-22 NIV Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” (22) And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” Greek: 'Eirene' + Hebrew: 'Shalom' means: WHOLENESS — NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING BROKEN RE-CONNECTION WITH GOD SECURITY / SAFETY STABILITY AND SUFFICIENCYINNER REST PEACE: SHALOM Shalom >>> Selamat Romans 6:4b NIV “... just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Ezekiel 36:26-27 NIV "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. (27) And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! ONE DISCIPLE THOMAS MISSED OUT UNTIL ... A WEEK LATER John 20:24-29 NIRV Thomas was one of the 12 disciples. He was also called Didymus. He was not with the other disciples when Jesus came. (25) So they told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “First I must see the nail marks in his hands. I must put my finger where the nails were. I must put my hand into his side. Only then will I believe.” (26) A week later, Jesus’ disciples were in the house again. Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came in and stood among them. He said, “May peace be with you!” (27) Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here. See my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” (28) Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” WHAT ABOUT US TODAY? John 20:29-31 NIRV Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen me but still have believed.” (30) Jesus performed many other signs in front of his disciples. They are not written down in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. If you believe this, you will have life because you belong to him. Acts 1:3 NIV After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. SO ... WE WILL RISE WITH JESUS. 2 Corinthians 4:14 NIV / 2 コリント 4:14 JCB "because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself."' -------------------------------------------- CONNECT GROUP QUESTIONS: The disciples were "overjoyed" to see Jesus. What is one thing that brought you joy this week?Shalom (Peace) means feeling whole and safe. What is one place or time where you feel the most peace?Thomas needed to see Jesus' scars to believe. When you have a hard time "seeing" God at work, what reminds you that He is still there? We are told to "fix our eyes on Jesus." What is a simple way you remember God during your busy day? -------------------------------------------- Connect with us:Web: mylifehouse.com Instagram: instagram.com/lifehouseglobal/ Facebook: facebook.com/lifehouseglobal Other Podcasts:Want to listen to our messages in other languages? The Power of Jesus Death On The Cross // Monty Plummer

In His hardest moments, Jesus called down forgiveness instead of judgement. Discover how Jesus extended love to others as we prepare our hearts for Easter by looking at the incredible power of Jesus' death on the cross. -------------------------------------------- THE POWER OF JESUS DEATH ON THE CROSS Hebrews 12:2 NLT We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Mark 15:15 NLT So to pacify the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He ordered Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip, then turned him over to the Roman soldiers to be crucified. Mark 15:17-20 NLT They dressed him in a purple robe, and they wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head. (18) Then they saluted him and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!” (19) And they struck him on the head with a reed stick, spit on him, and dropped to their knees in mock worship. (20) When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified. Luke 23:34 NLT Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. FORGIVENESSLuke 23:39-43 NLT One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!” (40) But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? (41) We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” (42) Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” (43) And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.” LOVEJohn 19:26-27 NLT When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, “Dear woman, here is your son.” (27) And he said to this disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from then on this disciple took her into his home. John 19:30 NLT When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. TETELESTAIVICTORY1 Corinthians 2:8 NLT But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. Mark 15:39 NLT When the Roman officer who stood facing him saw how he had died, he exclaimed, “This man truly was the Son of God!” SALVATIONColossians 2:13-15 NLT You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. (14) He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. (15) In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. -------------------------------------------- CONNECT GROUP QUESTIONS: Jesus forgave those who hurt him. Why is it important for us to forgive people who hurt us?The man on the cross asked Jesus for help. What do you want to ask Jesus to help you with today?Jesus showed love even when he was suffering. How is this a good example for us?Jesus said, "It is finished!"
