The Joy of Relationships // Richard Welsh

God cares about your relationships! In this week’s message, Ps Richard shares how Jesus’ very first miracle was a relational one, turning water into wine at a wedding. Discover how you can invite Jesus into your marriage, family, and friendships, because His supernatural touch can turn any situation into a celebration! ------------------------- THE JOY OF RELATIONSHIPS Matthew 22:37-39 NLT Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' (38) This is the first and greatest commandment. (39) A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'” RELATIONSHIPS ARE ONE OF LIFE’S GREATEST JOYS John 2:1-5 NLT The next day there was a wedding celebration in the village of Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, (2) and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration. (3) The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus' mother told him, "They have no more wine." (4) "Dear woman, that's not our problem," Jesus replied. "My time has not yet come." (5) But his mother told the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." RELATIONSHIPS TAKE WORK (BUT IT’S WORTH IT) John 2:6-8 NLT Standing nearby were six stone water jars, used for Jewish ceremonial washing. Each could hold twenty to thirty gallons. (7) Jesus told the servants, "Fill the jars with water." When the jars had been filled, (8) he said, "Now dip some out, and take it to the master of ceremonies." So the servants followed his instructions. RELATIONSHIPS NEED A SUPERNATURAL TOUCH John 2:9-10 NLT When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine, not knowing where it had come from (though, of course, the servants knew), he called the bridegroom over. (10) "A host always serves the best wine first," he said. "Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!" Nehemiah 8:10b NIV Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. 2 Timothy 1:7 NLT For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. John 2:11 NLT This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him. ------------------------- CONNECT GROUP QUESTIONS: How can we show honor to our family and friends like Ruth did? What are some small ways to serve others in your current situation?Have you ever felt God put you in the right place at the right time?Which habit (prayer, journaling, or a clean heart) do you want to work on?How can we better prioritize loving God and others as Jesus commanded? How does the joy of the Lord give you strength when things get difficult? ------------------------- Connect with us:Web: mylifehouse.com Instagram: instagram.com/lifehouseglobal/ Facebook: facebook.com/lifehouseglobal Other...

The Joy of Jesus // Rod Plummer

Joy isn't just for the good times—it's what gets us through the hard times, too. Pastor Rod explains how Jesus endured the greatest pain of the cross by looking toward the "joy set before Him.” Join us and learn how you can find joy and peace even in the midst of a difficult situation. ---------------------- THE JOY OF JESUS Nehemiah 8:10b NIV Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. JOY IN YOUR PRESENCE Psalm 16:11 NIV You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. (19) I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. (20) However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (21) At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.” Luke 19:10 NIV For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
