Starting off with the quintessential Eurodance hit, "Barbie Girl" by Aqua, this compilation will take you back to the time when catchy lyrics and infectious beats were all the rage. Regardless of personal opinions about its merits, there's no denying the impact this track had on the Eurodance scene. Similarly, tracks from Vengaboys, like "We Like To Party" and "Boom Boom Boom," encapsulated the era's sound with their distinct Ibiza beat and memorable hooks, earning their place on both dance and pop charts globally. This collection also includes Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone," a track that perfectly captured the spirit of late 90s heartache against a backdrop of pulsating beats. With its undeniable Eurodance and Techno influences, this track became a comforting anthem for many during times of emotional turmoil. Moving slightly into the realm of Trance, we have the early millennium hit "Toca's Miracle" by Fragma, and a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?

This mixtape features an eclectic lineup of artists who not only dominated the dance charts but also left an indelible mark on the music landscape. Let's kick things off with The Blackout Allstars and their infectious groove "I Like It (Like That)" in the D'Ambrosio Club Mix. This track took the salsa rhythm and spun it into an unforgettable house tune that still keeps dancefloors packed to this day. Pat & Mick come in with "Use It Up Wear It Out," an essential part of any '90s rave or party. You can feel the intensity in every beat of the Original Extended Mix, exemplifying the freedom and exuberance of the era. The 49'ers contribute "Touch Me," a seminal Eurodance track that captures the intoxicating blend of electronic beats and sensual vocals. The 49'ers were a project formed in Italy, and this track was one of their signature sounds that helped to solidify the Eurodance genre. With The Shamen's "L.S.I. I went beyond Eurodance in these sets and threw in some borderline House Classics like Enigma's Sadness, 49er's Don't You Love Me, The Original I Luv You Baby, etc. that had the same appeal and fit nicely in between the obvious Eurodance Classics by 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor Never Alone, Le Click Tonight Is the Night, La Bouche Sweet Dreams as well as others. What sets this apart from its predecessors is the inclusion of Techno which is where classics like Abigail's Constant Craving (remake of the K.D. While last week’s Eurodance set focused primarily on a single genre in dance, The Cheese Mix covers an entire spectrum from the late 80s to 2001. Unless you were living in a cave during this period, you’ll likely instantly recognize all the songs and quickly realize it just works. While I wouldn’t consider all the songs in this set cheesy, because some are timeless classics, there is enough dairy spread around here that after one listen, you may want to limit your daily intake LOL. Ultimately, this set is meant to be nothing more than good ole plain fun. In fact, I’ve got enough leftovers to create one more of this focusing on the same period. Look for that in the near future. If you haven’t read my post yet about the current status of Party Favorz, please take the time to do so. I could really use some feedback about accessing the site, load times, appearance and navigation so I can fix any issues that are not apparent to me. I’ll be back tomorrow with a treat to close out the week. Until then …ENJOY! Album : Back Spin v5 [The Cheese Mix] Genre : Euro-dance, NRG, House Year : 2014 Total Time : 01:51:24 1. The 1990's were kind of a lost era, at least for me.  The whole alternative music scene exploded as did grunge.  House music had made significant inroads in the early part of the decade, but that was quickly supplanted by Trance and those spontaneous FUBARs called RAVEs.   Ultimately, the legal grind caught on and started busting up these parties, which is when it moved above ground and became a massive money-making cluster-fuck for the investors. Out of all this spurred the late 90's phenomenon called Euro-dance.  These were hyper-fast BPM's, with sweet vocals, catchy as hell lyrics and the occasional obligatory really bad rap in the middle. Over the course of the next two sets, I’ve collected some of the best of Euro-dance and sprinkled it with a couple of massive house hits (more so on v5) to loosen things up a bit. For what it’s worth, these dance hits are part of our musical history.   So don’t be ashamed if you still enjoy these sugar-coated synth concoctions.  load these on to your phone, jump in the car and play this shit loud enough for the world to hear!  Yeah, I like 90's Euro-dance …whatcha gonna do about it?
