I Hate Therapy—But I Keep Going: Anger, Repair & Doing the Work

Therapy can help—and still be the appointment you dread. In this honest and unexpectedly funny episode, Tiffany and Megan talk about why healing can feel exhausting, how anger became tangled with fear, and why an apology means little without changed behavior and repair. They also unpack resentment, triggers, couples counseling, finding a therapist who challenges you, and why showing up honestly matters more than pretending you have it all together. If you have ever wondered, “Why am I still working on this?” this conversation is for you. Follow Pardon Our Honesty, share this episode with someone who needs it, and tell us: What has therapy—or life—taught you about yourself? This episode shares personal experiences and is not a substitute for professional mental-health care. If you or someone you know is in emotional distress or experiencing a crisis in the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

What We Wish We Knew in Our 30s: Money, Health, Boundaries & Living Without Regret

What do you wish someone had told you in your 30s? After our Facebook community filled the comments with advice, Tiffany and Megan sat down to talk through the lessons that hit differently once you have lived them: start saving before it feels convenient, protect your peace, pay attention to your health, build strength, wear the sunscreen, take the trip and stop waiting for permission to enjoy your own life. This is not a polished list of perfect answers. It is an honest, funny conversation about brain fog, boundaries, credit, retirement, adult children, aging parents, expensive shoes, eating the cake and realizing that your job can replace you—but the people who love you cannot. Which lesson did you learn later than you wish? Share this episode with someone in their 20s or 30s, and follow Pardon Our Honesty for more candid conversations about real life, relationships and everything people usually avoid saying out loud. Why Is It So Hard to Make Friends as an Adult? Social Media, Loneliness & Starting Over

Why is making friends as an adult so awkward? Whether you’re 22 and starting your career, navigating an empty nest, moving to a new city or rebuilding your life in your 70s, finding genuine connection can feel surprisingly difficult. In this episode, Tiffany and Megan talk honestly about adult friendship, social media connections, long-distance friends and the fear of putting yourself out there. Does commenting on someone’s Facebook posts make you friends? Is “I’m too busy” a genuine reason—or are we sometimes avoiding connection? And how do you move from talking to someone at a plant store, gym or pickleball court to actually becoming friends? We also discuss why friendship can feel like dating, how our phones compete with real conversation, why first impressions are often wrong and why friendships do not have to look the same at every stage of life. Listen, laugh and then tell us: What does friendship look like to you now—and where did you meet your last new friend? Watch, listen and follow Pardon Our Honesty:https://linktr.ee/pardonourhonesty

Lindsay Clancy, Postpartum Psychosis & Accountability: When Cries for Help Go Unheard

Using the Lindsay Clancy case as the starting point, Tiffany and Megan have an honest—and sometimes uncomfortable—conversation about postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, criminal responsibility, and what happens when repeated cries for help are not fully heard. Can someone continue working and caring for a family while experiencing a serious mental health crisis? When should loved ones step in? Can compassion and accountability exist at the same time? And what responsibility belongs to families, healthcare providers, and the systems surrounding a struggling mother? This conversation includes personal experiences, differing opinions, and questions for which there may not be an easy answer. Content warning: This episode discusses suicide, harm to children, postpartum mental illness, and psychiatric hospitalization. It is intended for discussion and awareness—not medical or legal advice. If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress or a suicidal crisis in the United States, call or text 988. Pregnant and postpartum parents and their families can also call or text the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline at 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262). Adult Children, Social Media & Faith: Did We Make Life Too Easy?

Did we make life too easy for our children? Tiffany and Megan have an honest conversation about parenting adult children, strained family relationships and the difficult balance between helping our kids and allowing them to struggle, learn and become independent. They also explore how social media shapes expectations, relationships and young adults’ perceptions of success—and why faith, church and personal beliefs have become increasingly complicated topics for the next generation. From adult children who only call when they need something to learning how to disagree without disrespecting or canceling one another, this episode asks a difficult question: Did our desire to give our children a better life accidentally make adulthood harder? Listen, follow Pardon Our Honesty and share this episode with someone who has experienced the complicated transition from parenting children to having relationships with adult children.

Raising Boys vs. Girls: Are We Preparing Daughters and Rescuing Sons?

Do parents prepare daughters for independence while continuing to rescue their sons? In this episode of Pardon Our Honesty, Tiffany and Megan get real about raising boys versus girls—from hygiene, communication and dating to ADHD, accountability, money, college and becoming independent adults. They examine why daughters may be expected to plan ahead, communicate and figure things out while sons are sometimes given more freedom, more excuses and more time to mature. Are these differences natural, learned or reinforced every time society says, “That’s just how boys are”? This conversation is based on their personal parenting experiences—not the belief that every boy or girl is the same. Parents, what is the biggest difference you’ve noticed between raising boys and raising girls? Join the conversation, follow the show and share this episode with another parent.

    When “I’m Sorry” Isn’t Enough

How many times can someone apologize for the same behavior before the words lose their meaning? In this episode of Pardon Our Honesty, Tiffany and Megan have an open conversation about apologies, repeated behavior, emotional triggers, forgiveness, and boundaries. They explore the difference between being genuinely sorry and simply being sorry you got caught—and why changed behavior matters more than the words themselves. Can you forgive someone without forgetting what happened? When is it time to accept an apology, and when is it time to change the relationship to protect yourself? They also discuss unresolved hurt between parents and adult children, taking accountability for past decisions, and recognizing when holding onto anger prevents healing. What is your limit for accepting the same apology? Let us know in the comments. Please like, share, subscribe, and join the conversation!

How Far Would You Go for Your Pet?

Pets bring love, comfort, companionship—and sometimes some very expensive decisions. But when the veterinary bills start reaching $5,000 to $7,000, how far would you go to save your pet? This week, Tiffany and Megan have an open and honest conversation about the emotional and financial realities of pet ownership. They discuss unexpected veterinary expenses, pet insurance, caring for senior animals, adopting from shelters, behavioral concerns, training, travel costs, and the lifelong responsibility that comes with welcoming a pet into your family. They also rewind last week’s conversation about spending habits and respond to your comments about DoorDash, Amazon shopping, convenience, and whether our increasingly connected world is actually making us feel more alone. Would you spend thousands to save your pet? Is there a financial limit when your pet is part of the family? Join the conversation and tell us: How far would you go for your pet? Subscribe to Pardon Our Honesty for more candid conversations about the topics people think about—but don’t always say out loud.
