    Watford head into Christmas in 10th spot in the Championship after a scrappy 1-0 at home to Stoke City.  Ned and James are back to discuss the game and try to extract some talking points from what was a pretty drab game - but are there signs of life and reasons to look up the table? We discuss whether Luca Kyerrumgaard's winning goal is the reason why he keeps starting games. Whether Imran Louza is starting to look a little tired or if he is starting to be found out by the opposition and we compare how we feel heading into Christmas this season as opposed to the last campaign.  With a busy Christmas period looming and some rather tricky fixtures coming up, how confident are we going to be feeling come FA Cup weekend?     Coming from behind again, Ince joins the 100 club & are we stuck in a 4-4-2? (Watford 3-2 NCFC)

    Watford salvage another 3 points from the jaws of defeat as they come from behind to beat Norwich 3-2 at Vicarage Road. Ned and James are back to discuss the game and perhaps the more questions than answers that came out of it. What is going on with the back four? constant individual mistakes. Is it a personnel issue? is it the tactics? or is it the midfield not protecting them as they should? which leads the boys on to the question of: is the 4-4-2 working? a lot of joy from those fullbacks going forward. But leaking goals and being far too easy to play through in the middle is posing a lot of questions. Do we actually have the midfielders to play in a 4-4-2?  Coming from behind to win points is fantastic... but not sustainable. What needs to change? The boys are finally back to the usual podcast!     We're back with an AwayDays podcast for the first time in a long time this week! Ned and James both traveled to Birmingham on Monday night to see Watford's first defeat in 6 as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat. The boys discuss the game in detail, what went wrong in the first half, the comeback kings of the EFL struggled to get back into the game after Maamma's effort early on in the second half and eventually ran out of steam chasing Birmingham. The big question is the number of defensive mistakes; do we need to reavaluate the back four? do we need a change at CB (we're certainly not light in this area) has Kyprianou been good enough recently? is it time for Papy Mendy to come back into the fold?     The comeback king's of the EFL, Another two points dropped at home and how important is Birmingham (A) for this season?

    Two games in 3 days so the boys cover both Derby and Preston North End in this podcast! A huge away win - the first for 280 days, the first this season and another three points wrestled from the jaws of defeat. Something the golden boys are making a bit of a trend of this season. Ned and James are back to discuss Derby County and Preston North End, the positives to take; Maamma, Doumbia, Kayembe?!, 5 unbeaten, taking the most points from losing positions in the EFL and Chakvetadze to return!  The negatives; Baah sidelined for up to six weeks, defending set pieces, not taking advantage of our home fixtures and Jebbison scores on his return to Vicarage Road. The boys then turn their attention to Monday night's game away to Birmingham. Ned and James wanted to do something interesting this week so they are joined by James from thewatfordway to discuss the season so far; how the golden boys have progressed under Gracia, and the next 5 games. They then discuss where Baah's best position is, whether Irankunda is struggling at the moment and the return of Chakvetadze to the starting XI.     It's been a very busy week for Watford FC, three games in six days gave the golden boys no rest. 5 points from a possible 9 wasn't a bad return given the fixtures but do we see the draws as 2 points dropped or a point gained? Ned and James discuss this and the context of the question. How did the change of shape and personnel impact the game on Friday night, was it the right decision to switch to a back 5? and did we come away from the game disappointed not to beat a fairly depleted Bristol City side. The boys then discuss their standout players, what makes them tick, Louza, Bola, Petris and Baah all get a mention - before Outhmane Maamma's excellent couple of cameos gets a nod.  They then discuss how Gracia's first 6 games have gone, how do they feel the squad has done, could they have done more? and what will the team look like away to Derby after the international break.     Well, we certainly needed a reaction after Coventry (A) and we certainly got it! A massive three points as the best performance of the season put Middlesbrough to the sword at Fortress Vicarage. Four wins on the bounce at home now as the hornets move up to 10th in the table! Ned and James break down the tactics behind the performance, how Gracia set up to defeat Boro on the flanks, how the front two worked together and being clinical in front of goal. The boys then discuss standouts across the pitch; Louza; Bola; Baah and Doumbia and how that performance is transferable moving into Ipswich and Bristol City this week! Guess the player returns too!     Frustrating to lose at Coventry, Javi 'Freeing' players and building in the right direction. (Coventry 3-1 Watford)

    Apologies for no episode last weekend! we just couldn't find the time to sit down and record together. Ned and James are back to discuss the loss away to Coventry, a defensive disaster class and not taking our chances killed us. Dominating in all stats but one saw the Hornets fall to a 3-1 defeat. The boys then turn their attention to Javi's first three games in charge, what have we learnt so far?  The Spaniard seems to be getting the best out of some players (Vata and Bola) but there have been disappointing performances from others (Sissoko and Kayembe) and the team seems to be building in the right direction, a challenging first three sees the golden boys pick up 3 points and compete heavily against table toppers Coventry.
