Between Silo seasons, Wool-Shift-Dust is exploring the outer sectors of the galaxy with the newest Hugh Howey sci-fi adaptation to hit the screen: *Beacon 23* , airing on MGM+. We'll be covering the full season, a few episodes at a time.Meanwhile, our ongoing *Dune* retrospective goes deep into what makes a good adaptation, with the book many call the most important work of science fiction ever, the unadaptable yet often adapted Dune – from the book to the movies you know and the ones you probably missed, we get into the lore, philosophy, filmmaking, and Sting's winged speedo (we have some laughs, too). Also, listen back to our Halloween *Edgar Allan Poe* and *The Fall of the House of Usher* coverage, and our weekly breakdowns of *Silo* , Apple TV+’s dystopic scifi thriller, from two different perspectives: book reader Elysia, and show only Luke, with spoilers only up to the episode discussed and equivalent parts of the book. *Coming this holiday season* : Wool-Shift-Dust explores the world of It's a Wonderful Life *Coming in Jan* : Wool-Shift-Dust studies The Three-Body Problem Find us on Twitter: Elysia Brenner: @elysiacb ( https://twitter.com/elysiacb ) Luke Middup: @LUKEMIDDUP ( https://twitter.com/LUKEMIDDUP ) And Discord: https://discord.gg/8CeM9crU Email us: WoolShiftDustPodcast@gmail.com Join the Wool-Shift-Dust bookclub: http://www.patreon.com/WoolShiftDust/ Published by The Lorehounds. Original episode notes:
In this quickie intro episode to The Star Wars Canon Timeline Podcast, you’ll learn not only what all those words mean (in the context of Star Wars), but also how this podcast works – how this experiment in creating a chronological timeline amidst a chaotic release order will unfold, and what to expect from the journey.
I break down the 9 eras of Star Wars history we’re covering – starting thousands of years in the past, through weekly releases of the upcoming series The Acolyte – as well as what kinds of guests to expect, essential Star Wars timeline lingo, and how this podcast is designed for both old fans and fresh faces who are Star Wars-curious.
This Is the Way.

Already seen the whole Silo…STILL LISTEN TO THIS
I watched Silo twice before ever seeking out a podcast and am so delighted I’m listening to this podcast. I tried another one that didn’t even notice the screen glitch during the power outage (boooo) and switched over to this one. I love how one host knows the book and the other is just experiencing the show. It’s so much fun listening to both of them experiencing this show and the ways they are guessing at what comes next (especially the incorrect guesses even with book knowledge). But to both hosts great credit they have amazing insights and thoughts that really deepen my view of the show (and probably my third viewing). I love this show and this podcast
Worth a listen
Elysia and Luke are funny, thoughtful, insightful, and thorough in their coverage of Silo. I am excited for their coverage of Dune as well. If you’re looking for a silo podcast, look no further. These guys are the best
Great discussions!
Just started watching Silo and now listening to this podcast after each episode. I really like both the people in the podcast. They have different discussion styles and different experiences with the story (one read the books, one did not). I like getting the little snippets from the books (although one of the early book readings revealed a little too much, maybe edit that out!). Thanks for a great podcast! It takes a lot of time and effort to create this and it is so much fun for us fans!
