I think you guys have good chemistry and funny banter. But I’d like to see you guys be a bit more proactive in how topics are discussed and engage a bit better with them. Read up on the topic, have someone correcting during the show, have the pre discussion to clear out things you’re not sure about… small example… it’s Glenn Close not Glenn chose 😅. TLDR — The one critique that stops me from really wanting to listen frequently is that the majority of the cast is uninformed or simply didn’t care about the topic and plowed through it. For some topics, it seems like most of the group simply jumps over key points—nah dive into it! I’m listening to black nerds avoid black discussions. — I’d rather you guys table it and come back when you start the show/movie, and read up on it a bit so you can have some good banter vs dead air or the awkward, “I didn’t start it” or, for some topics, have some good pre discussion on what you’re not sure about. Hearing someone butcher a topic about your favorite fandom(s!!!) is kinda painful to listen to ngl. It’s something a lot of podcasts like this do early on. And it’s not fair to expect all of you to know everything going on at all times. But it’s hella disappointing all the same to see the engagement in it…then it fall off…and next week nothing even though more has happened or the story has progressed. I could imagine, if Im the one bringing up the topic, I wouldn’t bring it back up again cause no one cared the first time. Or, as a listener only, not care for your opinion on it after a while. Not that I don’t, just saying it grates the ear after a while.
