    Be the Peacemaker: Stop Adding Fuel to the Fire

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot! Today we're talking about being a peacemaker and choosing to bring people together instead of adding fuel to conflict. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot look at the story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25 and how she stepped into a tense situation to prevent things from getting worse. Abigail could have taken sides, escalated the situation, or simply stayed out of it. Instead, she stepped forward and tried to bring peace and restore the relationship. It's a powerful picture of what Jesus calls us to be: peacemakers. The Bible says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Sometimes we're presented with a choice. We can push someone further toward the edge, or we can help bring them back. We can throw gasoline on the fire, or we can start watering it down. That applies everywhere—our families, marriages, friendships, workplaces, and even conversations about other people. Before we believe the worst, spread what we've heard, or assume someone meant something the wrong way, we can choose to take it the good way and give people the benefit of the doubt. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot encourage us to become the people who bring restoration instead of division. When someone is upset, be the person who says, “Maybe there's more to the story. Maybe they didn't mean it that way. Let's calm down.” Be the Abigail. Be the peacemaker. Today, ask yourself: Am I bringing people together, or am I helping drive them apart?     LOVE NEVER FAILS: How to Restore Broken Relationships

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot! Today we're talking about **restoring broken relationships through the power of love**. Maybe you're dealing with a child who won't talk to you, a sibling you're no longer close with, a parent you've been separated from, or someone in your family you simply don't agree with. What do you do when the relationship feels broken? Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot turn to **1 Corinthians 13:8: “Love never fails.”** Even when anger, frustration, disagreements, or hurt have entered a relationship, God's answer isn't to stop loving. We're called to keep the door open and continue being a light in someone's life. They talk about what it means to **love people even when you don't agree with their choices**. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop arguing about the things you disagree on and start focusing on the things you still have in common. You don't have to approve of everything someone does to continue showing them the love of Jesus. You'll also hear practical encouragement for rebuilding relationships—keep reaching out, send the message, make the phone call, let them know you're thinking about them, and don't give up just because they don't respond right away. **Love keeps showing up. Love keeps believing. Love keeps the door open.** And when discipline is necessary, it doesn't mean withholding love. Even “tough love” is still love. You can have boundaries and consequences while making sure the person knows, **“You didn't lose me. I still love you.”** If there's a relationship in your life that needs restoration, don't give up. **Put Christ into the crisis and choose a different strategy: love.** God is a God of restoration, and what feels impossible today may not be the end of the story.     Come Back Home: God Is Waiting to Restore You

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot! Today we're talking about getting back into God's house and living in the land He has given us. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot look at Abraham and the story of the prodigal son to show what happens when we step away from God's ways and try to live according to the world's system. The prodigal son took his inheritance and left his father's house, believing that what the world had to offer would satisfy him. But eventually, he “came to himself” and realized that he needed to go back home. And when he returned, his father didn't reject him or make him earn his way back—he welcomed him with open arms and restored him. Sometimes we can do the same thing. We can slowly stop attending church, become less connected to God's people, and start operating according to the world's way of doing things. But God's house is a place of provision, protection, restoration, and purpose. No matter how far you've wandered or what mistakes you've made, God is still welcoming you home. We're called to be like the Father—not pointing fingers at people who come back, but welcoming them with open arms and celebrating when the lost are found.     Which Voice Are You Listening To? | It Is Written

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason. Today we're talking about the voices in your head and which one you're listening to. Every day, we can hear different voices telling us what we should do, what we can't do, who we are, and what we should believe. But not every voice deserves our attention. Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason look at Luke 4 and the temptation of Jesus, where the enemy tried to get Jesus to question God's Word. Each time Jesus was tempted, He responded with the same powerful truth: “It is written.” Jesus showed us that when the wrong voice comes, we don't have to listen to it—we can answer it with the Word of God. The enemy may try to tell you that you're not good enough, you're not smart enough, or that you should give up. But God's Word tells you who you really are. The more you know God's Word, the more you'll recognize His voice and learn to be led by the Spirit instead of your emotions, your flesh, or the lies of the enemy. Your thoughts matter.     Seek God First, Not What You Want

    Where Is Your Hope? Anchor Your Life in God

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason. Today we're talking about hope and where we place our hope when life doesn't go the way we expected. Psalm 146 reminds us that we are blessed when our hope is in the Lord. It's easy to put our hope in our job, our finances, the economy, our circumstances, or the things we think will make us happy. But those things can change. God never fails. Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about how hope in God becomes an anchor for our lives. Even when you wake up facing the same problem you had yesterday, you can still have hope. Maybe you didn't get the promotion, you went through a difficult season, or you're facing uncertainty about the future.     Hide Your Children in God’s House: Protect Their Faith

From 2 Chronicles 22, we look at Jehoshiva, who hid Joash in the house of God for six years while destruction was happening around him. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot talk about how, as parents, we can't control everything our children will encounter in the world. But we can help surround them with a village of faith—people who will encourage them, teach them God's Word, and help them experience God for themselves. Church isn't just about what our children learn. It's a place where they can discover forgiveness, love, generosity, purpose, and their relationship with God. Joash was protected in God's house, and eventually he became king and helped repair God's house. The prayer today is also for the prodigals—those who have walked away from God.
