The Black Gay Agenda is a show where we come together and speak on our experiences as individuals apart of the gay black community. The goal is to share, listen and ask questions in hopes to learn, debunk stereotypes, and challenge thoughts while also creating a safe space within community for community.

    The Unfinished Business Agenda | SZN 4 EP 20

    For the Season 4 finale of The Black Gay Agenda, Micah B, Dupree and AP are looking back at the conversations, arguments and moments that stayed with us long after the mics went off. We revisit some of our most debated takes of the season, from princess treatment and Pride to separating the art from the artist, and decide whether we still stand on what we said. Then things get personal. AP opens up about becoming more intentional in his friendships and questioning how he shows up as an older brother. Dupree gets vulnerable about his career, redefining success and finally starting therapy. Micah reflects on going no contact with his father, moving to Atlanta, letting go of other people’s expectations and learning to recognize success without constantly comparing himself to everyone else. Before we close the season, we ask ourselves: What are you avoiding? What are you still trying to prove? What are you ready to leave behind? And what needs to happen before your next chapter can begin?     This episode is from the vault. Can a relationship survive when the love is strong but the bedroom chemistry is not? And if the connection is worth saving, can opening the relationship help or create an even bigger problem? In The After Dark Agenda, Micah B, Dupree ,Alex and AP get completely unfiltered about intimacy, size, hookups and physical compatibility. The fellas debate whether bad bedroom chemistry is enough to end a relationship, whether 12 inches is actually too big, what qualifies as “husband dick,” strict bedroom roles and why ethical non-monogamy should never be used as a quick fix for an already struggling relationship.     This week on The Black Gay Agenda, Micah B, Dupree and AP are getting into pick-me culture in the Black gay community and the ways we sometimes change ourselves to be accepted, desired or chosen. What does being a “pick me” actually look like for Black gay men? The fellas unpack gay men who distance themselves from other gay men, the pressure to perform masculinity, internalized homophobia, masc-for-masc culture, femininity, dating and desirability, and the idea that staying home, having less sex or avoiding queer spaces somehow makes someone more relationship-worthy. Then the conversation gets personal: Have you ever wanted somebody to pick you so badly that you stopped picking yourself? Dupree opens up about toning down his femininity, AP reflects on changing parts of himself while dating, and Micah shares how seeking his father’s approval affected the way he lived his life and approached relationships. Plus, AP drops a VERY interesting take about gay men who love sports that the Pushers are definitely going to have something to say about.
