After learning about the fashion, economy, social changes, and bold new attitudes of the Jazz Age, students take a closer look at Art Deco design and its influence on architecture, style, and visual culture. Using symbols, silhouettes, and themes from the novel, students create original Art Deco-inspired bookmark designs that are engraved and cut on the Glowforge laser cutter and Canva, blending literary analysis, history, and creative design.
