    S8:E8: The Senseless Murder of Mariah Samuels (34) “Unheard Cries”

    Minneapolis, MN— 34-year-old Mariah Samuels was a devoted mother to two sons and a beloved pet groomer. She was a woman trying to rebuild her life, protect her peace, and keep her children safe— even while living under the constant shadow of fear. Mariah did what many women are told to do: she spoke up, she asked for help, she documented the danger. And yet, she was failed by the very system meant to protect her. Who later claimed that Mariah wasn't "afraid enough."  The tragic murder of Mariah Samuels was not a sudden event, but the devastating conclusion of a foreseeable pattern. Andreen was a devoted mother to an autistic daughter, but she was also a successful business owner. But, behind the polished image of “the perfect couple” Andreen was fighting a silent battle – one marked by fear, betrayal and a violence that grew more darker by the day.  When Andreen vanished in 2019 - The community searched four long months– holding out hope that Andreen would be found alive.     S8:E3: Part 2: The Senseless Murder of Pastor Brodes Perry (36) "You Broke My Heart"

Collierville, TN–36-year-old Brodes Perry, was a respected spiritual leader known for his deep faith, generosity, and community impact. On April 11, 2019, Perry’s life was cut short by a deadly obsession, sending shockwaves throughout his congregation and community.  Pastor Perry was killed by LaToshia Daniels, a woman he knew intimately and had a two-year affair with.  Daniels, consumed by unrequited affection, jealousy, and an escalating fixation, crossed state lines to confront Perry and his wife.  The violent attack was the culmination of a descent into control, delusion, and emotional unraveling. In Part Two of this deeply unsettling case, we go inside the courtroom, where emotions ran high and long-guarded truths finally surfaced. The spotlight shifts to Brodes Perry’s wife - Tabatha Perry, whose testimony became the emotional anchor of the trial. In her own steady yet shaken voice, Tabatha walked the jury through the complicated reality of her marriage—revealing the private conversations she and Pastor Brodes Perry had about ethical non-monogamy, transparency, and boundaries that were intended to protect their relationship, not destroy it. As the prosecution laid out its evidence, a stark contrast emerged between ethical non-monogamy, rooted in consent and communication, and LaToshia Daniels’ actions, rooted in obsession, entitlement, and emotional volatility.  Then came the shocking revelation - a part of Pastor Perry’s life revealed - in his own words, played out for the world to hear.  The Jury deliberated for only two hours –and when they returned with a verdict– The room fell silent. This ruling served as a declaration that a man's openness can never justify taking a life.
