    In this Spooky Summer Series mini episode of Unlocking the Paranormal, I’m sharing three unsettling stories from people who encountered something strange while exploring unfamiliar places. First, I’m taking you to an Airbnb in Salem, Massachusetts, where one traveler believes a spirit manipulated what she could see and hear while her friends experienced something much more terrifying inside the house. Then, we’re heading into the woods of New Hampshire, where two people exploring abandoned ruins begin hearing a very deliberate pattern of seven knocks...and the sound seems to follow them as they try to leave. And finally, we’re traveling across the country to Big Sur, California, where a camping trip takes a terrifying turn after a normally calm dog suddenly bolts into the woods. What happens next involves strange cackling, sobbing, and screams that sound disturbingly human. Were these encounters paranormal? Could there be a natural explanation? A family staying at a boarding house in Bar Harbor, Maine, is kept awake by unexplained footsteps and banging from an empty floor, only to learn from the owner that the house may have a resident who died years ago. Then, deep in Wyoming's remote Red Desert, a hunter witnesses a strange, silent, reflective object moving across the landscape at an impossible speed. Finally, a couple sleeping in their camper van near a forest in northern France are startled by mysterious pounding outside and later hear from a local that the forest has a reputation for unexplained encounters.
