    Christian Friendship and Accountability: Why Good Friends Tell You the Truth

In Part 3 of the Friendship Series, we explore why godly friends tell us the truth—even when the truth is difficult to hear and how loving correction can strengthen our faith, relationships, and character. Some of the most loving words you will ever hear are the ones you don’t want to hear. True Christian accountability is not about judgment, embarrassment, or speaking with anger. It is about having friends who care enough to correct you with honesty, wisdom, and love. I share a real-life experience involving a social media joke that did not land the way it was intended. What followed was an honest conversation between close friends, careful attention to tone, genuine repentance, and the restoration of the friendship. It was also a reminder that something dismissed as “just social media” may represent another person’s business, ministry, calling, or livelihood. We then turn to the biblical story of Nathan confronting King David after David’s sin involving Bathsheba and his attempt to cover it up.     Loyalty vs. Blind Allegiance: What Does the Bible Say About Loyalty?

    Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… What does the Bible say about loyalty in Christian friendships? In this Christian devotional, we explore the difference between godly loyalty and blind allegiance and why loving someone does not require staying silent, choosing sides, or ignoring behavior that is wrong. “Loyalty” is one of those words that can sound honorable while causing real damage. When someone demands that you prove your loyalty by abandoning your convictions, overlooking sin, or agreeing with everything they do, that is not healthy Christian friendship. It is blind allegiance. Can you be loyal to someone and still tell them they’re wrong? I believe you can and sometimes, you must. Biblical loyalty is grounded in love, truth, wisdom, and faithfulness to God. Love without truth is not genuine love; sometimes, it is fear disguised as loyalty. We turn to Daniel 2 and the friendship between Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Beyond the familiar story of the fiery furnace, Scripture shows these loyal friends facing a life-or-death crisis together.     Caleb and Joshua: How Shared Faith Builds Strong Christian Friendships

In this Christian devotional, we explore how shared faith, values, and spiritual goals can create stronger Christian friendships—and what Caleb and Joshua teach us about trusting God together. Some friendships change not because anyone did something wrong, but because life begins asking different things of each person. A friendship that once felt effortless may become strained as priorities, beliefs, responsibilities, and goals change. That does not necessarily mean either person is bad. It may mean the foundation that once held the friendship together has shifted. Shared purpose can be a quiet but important foundation of lasting friendship.     Why Spiritual Growth Is Uncomfortable: How God Transforms You

In this Christian devotional, we explore how God transforms us through uncertainty, disappointment, waiting, and seasons when life no longer feels stable. Transformation sounds inspiring until you are the one living through it. I expected May to be a month of breakthrough, but instead, it brought IRS stress, a major restructuring at work, and difficult parenting decisions that kept me awake at night. I share what it feels like when stability seems to disappear overnight, meaningful projects are suddenly taken away, and you are left trying to understand what God is doing in the middle of circumstances you cannot control. In this Christian devotional, we explore how constant scrolling can fuel envy, resentment, insecurity, and dissatisfaction and how prayer, biblical truth, gratitude, and wise counsel can help protect your heart. Jealousy does not always appear as obvious anger. Sometimes, it feels like a quiet, persistent irritation that keeps you scrolling, judging, and comparing your real life to someone else’s highlight reel. I’m Jessi Morgan, a home décor blogger who is sharing more of my personal life and love for the Lord. In this episode, I get honest about a season when I followed an Instagram influencer I could not stand but also could not stop watching. The combination of envy, resentment, and wondering, “Why does she get that?” gradually affected how I viewed my own life. Social media comparison can make us feel as though we are behind, overlooked, or not good enough. When left unchecked, jealousy can prevent us from recognizing the blessings God has already placed in front of us. We turn to Numbers 12, where Miriam and Aaron speak against Moses and question his unique position.     How to Stop Worrying About Numbers and Trust God Instead

    Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… How do you stop worrying about money, outcomes, and everything you cannot control? In this Christian devotional and Bible study on David’s census in 2 Samuel 24 and 1 Chronicles 21, we explore how fear, pride, anxiety, and self-reliance can cause us to place our security in numbers instead of God. What if the thing you keep counting is the very thing stealing your peace? Our world revolves around numbers: bank balances, bills, followers, views, deadlines, accomplishments, medical results, and measures of success. Numbers can provide helpful information, but they become spiritually dangerous when we depend on them for the security and peace that should come from trusting God. In 2 Samuel 24, King David orders a census of Israel. His decision becomes one of the most sobering moments of his life, revealing the danger of trying to measure strength, control outcomes, and find reassurance apart from God. We also examine the tension between 2 Samuel 24 and 1 Chronicles 21. While 2 Samuel connects the event to God’s anger against Israel, Chronicles identifies Satan as the one who incited David. Together, these passages raise important questions about temptation, testing, human responsibility, and God’s sovereignty. David experienced pressure, but he was still responsible for the choice he made. The same pattern can appear in our lives when anxiety and temptation push us toward self-reliance. We count repeatedly, imagine worst-case scenarios, and convince ourselves that one more calculation will finally make us feel safe—but the peace never comes.
