Awesome Books About God and Jesus with Uncle Colby

Personal accolades make him uncomfortable but it needs to be said. Colby Wright is an awesome person with an awesome ability to share God’s love in both personal interaction and through media. This podcast is enlightening and will undoubtedly improve your perspective about God and help inspire you to do the work to develop and intimate relationships with Him.

In honesty, I would definitely consider myself as what Colby describes as ‘misunderstanding of the true nature, of God. I’m also experiencing some pretty intense trials in life currently (most self inflicted). I’m really liking this podcast so far. It really does help me progress closer to an understanding of God and his infinite love for us. I just so often don’t feel “worthy” of that. I’m grateful, however, for the way Colby and the words of this book teach us that God really is always there. “To love, is to share in suffering.”

“Perhaps the only thing worse than no god is a bad God.” -Uncle Colby~ ~𓆝 ~ 𓆟 ~𓆞 ~𓆝~ “Can we give each other a little grace?” ☩ Uncle Colby is a pastor, a father, a disciple, and a friend. Drawing upon the wisdom of ages with the heart of a mystic, Bishop Colby Wright weaves core truths of God and Jesus back into Christian/Latter-day Saint worship and study. † This podcast is for all who would learn from one who knows the God of Love- one who carries that agapē in all the world. ☀️ Like Julian of Norwich, may we each choose to be on the cross with Jesus. • And as we choose to suffer with those who suffer, the words of our favorite Uncle come to mind, “God is intent on restoring you to the likeness of Jesus.” ♱

If I had the capacity I would read Kirkegaard and Buber and Spinosa and more. I run into two limitations. First, I don’t find the time and secondly I know this might sound lame, but it kind of hurts my brain. I think what Colby is doing here is that he is writing/recording a primer. It’s the “Uncle Colby created owner’s manual” for reading Julian of Norwich. I know it’s his view and I’m weighing it out against my view, but what a wonderful way of getting to perceive someone from hundreds of years ago, through the eyes of another person. Such a privilege! I really value seasoned tour guides or fishing guides, if you get the right one. Colby is such a great guide and very seasoned. I keep checking for the next episode. Have to sit on my hands sometimes.
