    AJS#190 Union Shop DJ ODI & Friends

    I feel so old when I talk about my childhood now. I guess its because i am haha. In the early 90's, Every corner shop in the city and every cool clothing store sold mixtapes by local DJ's. They all had a certain feel to them. Lots of crazy drops and tons of MC's. I loved those tapes! Shout to DJ Cash Money, Kid Capri, Dj Premier and so many more. This weeks guest wanted to re-create that vibe a little and put his Digital Konfusion stank on it. So he invited some of the best MC's in our culture to join him.     I was on my way to a rave when a friend (Terran) messaged me and said "hey!, this person is gonna be at the same thing, you should meet them."  It was a weekend at one of the best raves I have been to in my life!!! If you get the chance to go to one of Recipe and U4ik's mansion raves, GO. Anyway, I met this weeks guest there. She is  in fact a vibe. We got to  mix a few times together throughout that weekend.     Our guest this week has quickly become an icon in our American community and with good reason. I first became aware of Conductor maybe two years ago? I didn't really know much about her or her family but kept seeing that name on the socials. It wasn't until I read an article on www.bestdrumandbass.com that I felt compelled to reach out and meet Mary and Violet. It was emotional....lol. Now, we talk pretty regularly and I just love those guys. Im pretty sure everyone does. In a sea of interesting people in our American DNB culture, this magical human still stands out.
