There are some serious deep cuts

I think any fan who regularly listens to tough pigs podcasts appreciates the earnest talk, deep analysis, and natural conversation about the muppets. There’s not much of that in some of these episodes, but I don’t think it’s entirely their fault. There’s a lot to say about Rowlf, piggy, Kermit, and the Swedish chef. But how do you fill a podcast episode about bubba the rat, the muppet tomato, pops, or the screaming goat? Some episodes devolve into just silliness which isn’t what I value toughpigs for. It comes off as forced and belabored to the point of annoyance. I liked the episodes where they really talked about the history of the more important muppets and different facets of their characters. It’s not their fault that such obscure muppets are on the list and they have to somehow fill an episode about them. They didn’t make the list.

You got Thog to talk about Thog!! Informative podcast (most of the time)!

I love this! We need more quality muppet content for sure. Short and sweet episodes about each individual muppet is a fantastic idea for the 70th anniversary! Although I wish Rowlfs episode could get a redo because of technical difficulties. I enjoyed Peter Linz and Alice Dinnean but I wish my favorite muppet actually got the spotlight he deserves. Other than that I’m looking forward to each episode!
