I wish I could reply to some of the other reviews. To the person complaining about being confronted with our country’s violent history: the sooner you embrace reality, the deeper your joy will grow. My family have been in the Deep South or Ireland exclusively for the last 375 years. If I can enjoy this show and grapple with the historical complexities, anyone can. Get with it! Dang.

I am very interested in historical facts and trivia. These hosts have little interest or knowledge in our country’s history yet they are attempting-and failing- to even try to make an intelligent presentation of our states motto. First episode Janet doesn’t even know Connecticut is rectangle shaped? My gawd….Get an education before you become an “authority” on a topic. You both sound silly.

I’m honestly disappointed. I thought this was going to be a fun and intellectually curious new podcast. Instead it feels like they’re reading me a Wikipedia page and making mean-spirited jokes instead of trying to appreciate or celebrate the quirks and history of each state.

This is exactly the podcast I needed during these less-than-bright times! When I don’t have the spoons to listen to the current event podcasts that usually populate my queue, I can always turn to this delightful show for a nice, pleasant time learning fun facts about states with these two charming hosts who have excellent chemistry. Highly recommended!
